How?

Someone who has played at a high level for most of his career in the Premier League is hardly shit is he?

I want Oakley to be good I really do but you can only judge him on his performances this season. And on today's evidence he has some work to do to justify his place. I would rather see a proper defensive midfielder to come in and break up attacks. Whether Wesolowski is that man I don't know. Above all Pearson, through giving him the captaincy, obviously believes in his ability making it unlikely he'll be dropped any time soon.

Weso, meanwhile, has played twice this season - a 1-0 cup win at home to Stockport and a 3-2 defeat at Fulham. Overall aggregate 3-3 in two games. In matches when he hasn't played the aggregate is 15-4 (in seven games). So we've actually conceded only one goal more in seven games than in the two Weso has featured in.

Perhaps it would be fairer to judge that on teams on the same level. Fulham are a premiership team lets not forget.

How was Martin not sent off by the way? I thought hand ball outside the area was an automatic red...

I'm not sure how the linesman could tell he was outside though.

Well our thinking that was that he wasnt booked or anything because the referee didnt agree with the linesmans decison 100%?

Fantastic day out as always, but to be honest a pretty terrible performance albeight with 3 vital points.

Would prefer to list the main points as opposed to go into too much detail.

Get Martin out and Hendo back in asap! He should really have been sent off for the handball had the ref gone by the law.

Tunchev was fooking immense, class apart, without him we'd have lost.

The midfield were non existant in the challenge.

Fulham and Tranmere seem along way away for Max Gradel, the next few games will show what he's really made of.

Brilliant substitutions, Adams and Campbell both got in their faces and did the stuff all fans like to see. Both staked excellant claims to start next game.

The tube was chaos after....oh and hot.

I agree with all of that, Adams and Campbell were great subs and they were both up for it and closed them down, i don't think we would've won if they hadn't come on. It's good to see players getting stuck in, as we sat back too many times in the second half and gave them too much space.

As for the tube, we saw the queue so went to asda for 20 mins then it had cleared by the time we got back!

The players need to get stuck in more and not let them play. At times today i felt we could've put more effort in and were lacking urgency

I was surprised Martin wasn't even booked (or i didn't notice it if he was) after he handled the ball outside the box

Wasn't a clear goalscoring opportunity, so should have been a yellow card. Ref didn't have a clue though  .

Because they were on top for most of the game. A draw WOULD have been a fair result. Put it like this, if the game had ended a draw many fans, me included, would be thankful we didn't lose. We really weren't very good. We should be absolutely delighted (and a tad relieved) to have come away with 3 goals and 3 points.
That makes no differance footballs over 90 mins and we scored three times to their once . If you don't take your chances you lose

Eighteen goals in nine games is all but double what we averaged last season whether the opposition is weaker, tiring or anything else and our goals conceded is also less than a goal a game so something has changed for the better and King's goal and assist on what most seem to think was an ordinary day today is seemingly a factor.

As for your friend's view of King, one goal and one (arguably two) assists on an indifferent day can hardly be dismissed especially as we won by two clear goals away from home.

Were you there? No.

Fact - Andy King DID NOT assist any of the goals. Get your facts straight before presenting them on here. Howard assisted the first, Campbell the second and Fryatt (I think) the third.

King making a simple pass three passes before a goal does not count as an assist. Get that into your head before claiming that King has got X number of assists. :frusty:

King was poor. I like King. I want King to be good. Today I thought Oakley (who i'm inclined to dislike lately) was better.

He can't get a hold on games, and doesn't put himself about into space and demand the ball enough. He also still has a tendancy to overthink and forget about thinkg like his first touch. He's also responsible for a lot of our total amount of wayward passes.

A lot of this stuff will come with experience but for now he's far from the finished article.

Just Got back.

First Half we didn't deserve to be drawing. Fryatt had a few chances he should of buried.

Second Half, Orient dominated for Half Hour I would say. Howard and Fryatt wasn't really working, I wanted Fryatt off i really did. Deej came on and fair play to the lad gave us something different. Fryatt pulled his socks up and had a great last 15. Deej really should of scored but Fryatt was waiting for it to fall for him. Last goal was an absoulte joy to watch. Loved it.

I dont want to hear 'oh we didn't deserve that'. fook that we won. Im really taking to Pearson, right time and choice to put Deej and Adams both on. Both played their part and to me changed the game to 3 points for us. Im loving the fact were now killing games off. Im so delighted great day

That has summed up the game brilliantly for me.

A great day out, a win, late winners and a pretty good atmosphere.

I loved it today. I love London away days.

Could those of you who were at the game please refrain from having an opinion?

Honestly. You know the rules.

Bloody right.

Sitting at my table in Huddersfield I can honestly state that Hume had a ****ing brilliant game, Graham Cross looked a bit wank while Chandler could've shown more enthusiasm.

Well done on your win guys, I reckon you probably deserved the win. We might have been more dominant in midfield overall, but, you made the better chances and took them. Thought that DJ Campbell and Nicky Adams coming on changed the tide of the game, wasn't too impressed with Gradel or Howard for you and had they remained on, not sure you'd have won. I thought Matty Fryatt looked the exact type of striker who'll get 20+ in this league, impressed me as did Dyer. Thought your keeper looked very very shakey actually so was pretty frustrating we didn't test him more. Ironically, my last home Orient game before I come to the University of Leicester so ought to be catching a few more of your games.

Cheers, and defo plan on sticking about, should be interesting to see a good side :o

Leicester didn't play as well as they can today, but it's good to win after last weeks defeat. Dyer had a great game first half, but second half we sat back too much which was frustrating. The subs were definately a turning point. I'm glad we won but i did feel you deserved a draw up until the last 10 mins. Good luck this season

Breathtaking logic.

However I think we should multiply the goals scored in the Fulham game by 10 and not take into account the goals conceded as it was against far superior Premiership opposition. Therefore, on this superior logic we have actually scored 21 goals in 2 games with Wesolowski and not conceded any!!!!!!!!!!! Wow. So that's an aggregate of 21-0 to Weso and only 15-4 without him. Well, I think it's blindingly obvious now who should be starting don't we. And that, like Andy King's 16 assists and goal of the season yesterday, is a FACT.

Our midfield was non-existent for many parts of the last two games. We have played some great stuff on the floor this season, but without the support from midfield, we have started to resort to lumping balls up to Howard again. Oakley and King are too similar types of player, and we do need someone in there to break the play up. We'll be playing more teams like Millwall and Orient than Cheltenham this season.

I'm well aware of what comprises an official assist but who's talking official anything because in no way discounts anyone's contribution to any goal and in King's case yesterday he reportedly made the tackle and launched the move for goal one then played an passing part in the move which led to his own goal. If that was not the case I'll happily apologise.

Perhaps you should look to yourself instead of acting so smug about being there. Didn't you give Fryatt a 7 just for his goal? On that basis I wonder why King only got a six. I only wonder of course. I'm not in the least surprised.

Spot on, with King and Oakley they both seem to like to get forward, which is great until an attack breaks down and they are either level with or head of our strikers, so when the opposition break as both Milwall did last week and Orient did yesterday, the get a free run at our back four.

For me the jury is still out with regard to King, who I have to admit took his goal well. I just think we need a dominant tackling type of player in our central mid if we are going to consistantly give teams like the last 2 a good hiding. having said that, what a great day out!!

As a flippant exercise in enveloping the reality in fog that's excellent. But the facts are as stated. And from them I see no logical reason why Wesolowski's inclusion would equal better results. I think hardcase Tiatto completed a whole season in midfield without being on the winning side once. Wondrous return that.

Not that I don't think our central midfield could be improved. It could. But not with another spoiler. We could start by using a second footballing centre-back instead of Morrison and then use another creative midfielder in conjunction with the two we have.

Because mabye in football, there is no such thing as logic.

And as for Tiatto: not really worthy being compared to Wesolowski, especially when you look at what Tiatto did for us... nothing. Only got booked on a regular basis for foolish tackles, no drive forward, no defensive composure, either. He was already well past it and a waste of space in one of the most unsuccessful teams we've ever had. Oh, right. Craig Levein. >_<

At least Wesolowski has room to improve, Thrac.
