They know they're being filmed, they know it's not supposed to be a program about a nice, loving family who eat all their meals together and picnic regularly together in the local recreational areas. They know they're supposed to act like cnuts, so they do. Lacks mundane realism.

Well the producers take 6 hours out of 100 days filming so they're obviously going to go for the good bits aren't they?
