TBH the segregation is ridiculas, maybe alright for other games but you'd have thought they would have tightened it for this game.

If they want to fight let em fight.

No - I have been a young kid in a stadium where there is trouble and it is terrifying. They wanna fight, they should find a field somewhere and do it. My sport has big enough problems as it is, it doesn't need mindless ****nuts like these arseholes giving it another nail in the coffin.

Also, what about the police and stewards? It may be part of their job description, but I am sure they would rather not have to deal with drunken neanderthals! I never liked it myself!

yep, crowd safety and why not keep the fans more seperated?, I'm not excusing what the fans did but surely the safety officer should have done better.

Fans shouldn't even need to be separated to behave themselves. In the early 60's we used to have 30 - 40,000 in grounds with no segregation and no fighting.

These people need to be arrested and made to sit in a police cell every time there's a game on for the rest of their lives, it's idiots like these that mean we're treated like cattle and made to sit down.

Football is a passionate games especially derbies they should know this and kept the fans apart. No common sense as usual.

As I said why can't people be passionate without it turning to violence - it's all just an excuse for people that are hell bent on causing trouble and are naturally violent or those that get violent when they're drunk.

What utter gutter scum. Fighting fans is so yesterday, or so I hoped.

Ban the ****ers for life!

No hope of that. Newcastle will probably put them on the payroll next week, to join Barton and the poison dwarf..

Rugby is also a passionate sport, but the fans stand side by side and (shock horror) can drink actual beer while they watch the game! When has their ever been a problem with crowd violence at a rugby game?

Face it, football has a lot of twats both on and off the field. Its cos of these that we can't stand at games, can't drink at games, get herded around like cattle, get games moved to early kick offs etc.

Football and rugby have completely different cultures.

I've sampled the "passion" of Welford Road. It makes the Way at its worst seem like Galatasaray.

It still doesn't excuse or warrant violence between rival sets of fans <_<

I wouldnt worry to much it didnt happen down the Walkers so its no massive concern to us.

Just a group of over excited fans, its there biggest games of the year, bar getting to the FA Cup final.

Well I've sampled passion at the football in a non-segregated crowd and there was no trouble until these idiots started attending, how you can even attempt to justify this behaviour I've no idea.

Being passionate doesn't mean being a mindless violent twat!

That's what they said when all this football violence started years ago - oh dear but it's not our problem - well it soon was and now we're all paying the price.
