Chandler Posted 17 April 2005 Posted 17 April 2005 Amongst the Titans of the round ball few rank as high as Levein we are told. His strategy yesterday certainly was one that a mere human like myself could not grasp. But who are we to know the mind of one who is barely mortal? I watched in awe as he allowed the Wiganus to sling their mighty thunderbolts this way and that without riposte from Ratae for half eternity. And when they didst smite us with a mighty blow our forces were ever thus restrained, seeking consolation in the great hoof to the lame De Vries. The raging Twatto didst dishonour us but remained on the field. Then the battle turned and only then our forces, inspired by our general found new vigour. They didst rain down blow upon blow on the enemy. But Levien decreed unto himself that our legions most suffer more pain before they could bask in the glow of victory. And thus an arrow pierced the hearts of Ratae. The divine judge determined that our enemy go unpunished for a vile atrocity. Levein was thus abandoned and we were routed by the Wiganus. However we escaped with minor wounds and injured pride and will once more venture into the fray three days hence. Was all this foretold by the Oracle? Is Levein Zeus in disguise?

Stuart Hall!!! 94711 Somehow related to Eric Hall? 94718 My memories of Stuart Hall are mostly from when used to present a programme called 'It's a Knockout', but he's now a reporter on Radio 5, reporting on individual games.
