Tilley Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Wrong thread, But Corona is my favourite, with a lemon, not a lime.
AmericanScott Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Wrong thread,But Corona is my favourite, with a lemon, not a lime. Nothing beats it. Has anyone tried this beer from Asda? It's Danish and the can is massive. 1000ml can. I think it costs about 2 quid.

Sparky Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Warstiner!!! (Or anything Germanic) Bitburger was the nuts during the world cup over there . I need to take the boys Germany in the near future
Floating Fox Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Bitburger was the nuts during the world cup over there . I need to take the boys Germany in the near future Did you get the frilly things round the glasses with that stuff? The German lads take all the used frilly things to the matches (And theres usually a lot of them! ) and use them as confetti. Genius! Good beer to be fair.

Genius! Good beer to be fair. Yeah , they seemed to hand them out whatever drink we had , every time i lifted my glass up i had about 4 stuck to the bottom . Our locals landlord came with us and said he would try get some Bitburger in the pub but it never happened , i may have to remind him Atm it's Peroni for me. Yeah usually drink that or Becks
shen Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Never understood the thing about Corona. It's nothing special whatsoever My favourites are stronger beers like Leffe, Duvel or Chimay with Leffe probably shading it
Floating Fox Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008  Jamie? Walkabout? On the picture, the pint is golden, when it doesn't look like that...and have you tried Hoegaarden?

Was very disapointed with it, no bite to it. And looks uber camp with a fruit stook in it. Leffe is a good beer. Try it at 9 in the morning before an away day! Chimay and Duvel are Brutal ! What do you think to Tuborg btw shen?
Joe. Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 My mate was chuffed when he found these were £1 a bottle at a party once. I tried it and knew exactly why.
Porky Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Bitburger was the nuts during the world cup over there . I need to take the boys Germany in the near future Bitburger is gorgeous. When I went to Germany I was hooked on it; that's all I touched during my trip. I don't mind Becks either.

Fosse Boy Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Lagers- Pilsner Urquell, Tyskie, Kronenbourg, Heineken Ales- You can never go far a wrong with a good old local pint of Everard's Tiger
Scow Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Yeah usually drink that or Becks £2.60 in the Scream pubs now. <_< Went to Asda on Saturday and they had a 3 cases for £20 offer - 18 bottles per case = 54 bottles.

They are, but they're excellent to have with meals (or as a meal! ). And I forgot to mention Palm! And frankly, I think Tuborg is average (=shit). I can drink it if there's nothing else, and with it being the most popular beer here, that happens quite often. It tastes exactly like Carlsberg does here (no wonder, it's the same brewery), yet people claim they can taste the difference. I much prefer Danish beers that don't actually taste like cat piss, like GB, Brøckhouse, Faxe and Jacobsen

Tastes virtually the same as Export. I'd probably agree with you as well, but have never tried any other Danish beer
MC Prussian Posted 18 November 2008 Posted 18 November 2008 Lately, it's all Mexican for me. Tecate, Corona & Pacifico all the way. American beer tastes like water and has no effect whatsoever. No wonder I could drink sixpack after sixpack in Vancouver without feeling drunk.
