Sir Fynwy Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 'Tis now officially Guiness and Bitter Season. My current list of favourites :- Green King IPA - Easy Drinking Timothy Taylor- Nice, but hard to find Bombardier - Fond memories of last Sunday And whatever is on the middle Pump at the Blue Lion in Thrussington....laaaaveerllly. It was a regular on at the pump and tap, but we all know DMU and the city council have put paid to that.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 Guinness, Boddingtons and a selection of Ales. I tried one named Poacher recently, it had the most flavour of any Beer I've ever had, it was awesome. Try it out if you can!
Fosse Boy Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 They sell it at the Royal Oak in Quorn. Think I remember seeing it in The Greyhound in Great Glen too. Anyone else tried Flying Dutchman? Immense beer.
lcfc_jme Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 :laugh:Jamie? Walkabout? ha ha - down in one - looking a little green - and then on with the show Only just seen these.. Absolutely beasted it, got myself a free pint and stayed the course of the night.. Was a good night too, from what I remember. Stunning form Jeff!! At the moment though, I'd have to go Kwak on tap at the local. Beautiful.
Bert Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 I don't like Beer. Never have and I don't think I ever will. My dad, however once drank 24 bottles of Tuborg in about 4 hours.
MC Prussian Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 I can also recommend Lovely piece of semi-natural engineering. and thanks to a Colorado classmate of mine, this:
stez Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 my favourite beer is the one before the one i should've had last. i dislike drunkenness
potter3 Posted 28 November 2009 Posted 28 November 2009 Some truly awful beers listed here. There must be some fellow Belgian afficionados here surely (I'm not talking Stella or Jupiler)?Rochefort 8 and Tripel Karmeliet are lovely. Tremens Deirium.
Webbo Posted 28 November 2009 Posted 28 November 2009 I've just had a bottle of 'Black Sheep'. Flippin' tasty.
The Doctor Posted 28 November 2009 Posted 28 November 2009 Don't really do beer. I'm more into zyda, but i did have snakebite this summer made with woodpeckers (zyda) and aldi's own dutch lager. Pretty damn tasty this snakebite was as weel.
