Floating Fox Posted 26 November 2008 Posted 26 November 2008 I had never heard of the other until now. Shall be watching this Friday however. Hertha-Koln. Hertha should win, their surprinsgly looking very good without Pantelic too.

Made me laugh, you bang on how great and loud the German fans are and all you could hear was the English fans for the whole game. Make up something as usual then .. The game was played in Berlin and the Ultra's didn't travel as per usual.

ASH17LCFC Posted 26 November 2008 Posted 26 November 2008 Ever been to watch a Bundesliga match? No and i would never want to and i was talking about Germany England not the Bundesliga vs The Premiership. German fans travel in Europe ? Nope and all these great teams with great home support never come over to england in big numbers ... Different story when a British team is away. England fans travel all over in large Numbers, Germany don't. The End.

You're missing out by dismissing the Bundesliga like that and you're wrong about German fans not travelling away, they are just as passionate as any British fan.

German fans or any Ultra's never travel in big numbers to England. Italy are the worst for it, try and stab you and give it the big un and when they play in England they're nowhere to be seen. Germans are very good at supporting their clubs at home and i'm not disrespecting your opinion because i know you like German football but in my opinion They don't travel away and England fans are alot louder when playing these certain teams away.

But they sold out their allocation at Wembley. I'm not syaing England fans aren't loud away from Wembley, as well.

Which German team do you support ? I've never really got into German football accept for a brief 1860 Munich supporting time but i lost intrest. Are they still about ? I've always like Napoli for some reason and hopefuly one day will get the shirt then won the UEFA Cup in with El Diego on the back.

ASH17LCFC Posted 26 November 2008 Posted 26 November 2008 Borussia Dortmund. You do know Napoli are Italian, right? Yeah i was just pointing out which team outside of england i look out for.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 November 2008 Posted 26 November 2008 Yeah i was just pointing out which team outside of england i look out for. Okey dokey.
lildave3 Posted 26 November 2008 Posted 26 November 2008 The rest of europe is different to England, all their passion is in the home games.
CosbehFox Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 1860 Munich are in the Second Division, apparently 'dying' towards the third division. If you ever want to visit the Allianz, go when 1860 are playing. Germans still travelled well and the Italians do when they are allowed. You have to remember the distances say if Hamburg play Stuttgart.....but they do have super, high speed trains.

To be fair, I never big up the national team fans....The German lads we met said that proper fans don't really care about the national team over there, and for home games they are support by families and idiots like our home support, whilst away support is dominated by neo-nazi's. Germans do travell well, as do quite a few europeans. St.Pauli took 8000 fans to an away game last year! Anyone see the Panathinikos fans at Milan last night? I've always thought the Spanish to not travel much though
CosbehFox Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 I've always thought the Spanish to not travel much though You're right bar local derbies, Bilbao and ex-pats who support the Canaries-based teams or Malaga.

Floating Fox Posted 28 November 2008 Posted 28 November 2008 No mate, what were they like?? Took the whole end behind one goal of lower tier, same as what Celtic took the other year I think, look fantastic, was the only part of the san siro that was full! Commentatory praised their support loads as well.
