Jack Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 What's wrong with liking both bands? Completely different sounds. I do.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 I like you laddy, but come off it, one decent track since Wonderwall, you know it's not true. Stop Crying Your Heart Out. Name me one more. What's wrong with liking both bands? Completely different sounds. There's nothing wrong with it, it's purely coincidental that in my case I love Blur but hate Oasis. I never incinuated that I'd taken a side in that whole "Britpop War".
Finchy Posted 18 December 2008 Author Posted 18 December 2008 I just mean in general, loads of people out there refuse to like the other band, like ASH17 you can tell he's only saying Blur are shit because he's a die hard Oasis fan and thinks that he can't like Blur.

Oh right, well these people need to get a life.
Jack Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Stop Crying Your Heart Out.Name me one more. Don't look back in anger, Rockin' Chair, The Masterplan, Some Might Say, Cast No Shadow, Talk Tonight, Acquiese. And I could go on all night mate.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Don't look back in anger, Rockin' Chair, The Masterplan, Some Might Say, Cast No Shadow, Talk Tonight, Acquiese. And I could go on all night mate. Likewise, I could go on all night saying that none of them do it for me. Bit bland for my liking.
Libertine Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Don't look back in anger, Rockin' Chair, The Masterplan, Some Might Say, Cast No Shadow, Talk Tonight, Acquiese. And I could go on all night mate. D'oh. He said since Wonderwall. Which is shit anyway.
Jack Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 D'oh.He said since Wonderwall. Which is shit anyway. Ye, I know. Wonderwall was in Whats the Story Morning Glory album, and all the songs I named were in that album or in later albums.
Samilktray Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 I love Nihat sometimes more than others. But I fooking love him for what hes just said here.
Jack Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 I love Nihat sometimes more than others. But I fooking love him for what hes just said here. I knew it wouldn't be too long before you tryed your hand at slating Oasis.
Libertine Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Ye, I know.Wonderwall was in Whats the Story Morning Glory album, and all the songs I named were in that album or in later albums. I know. But I think he was referring to just later albums, which you didn't really include. Except Masterplan, but that's a compilation of old songs he wrote for DM/MG anyway. Anyway. Don't Go Away, Little by Little, Songbird, I'm Outta Time, Waiting for the Rapture, Stand by Me, Gas Panic!.. All 'decent' songs at least, not 'great' songs neccessarily, but that wasn't the question.
Finchy Posted 18 December 2008 Author Posted 18 December 2008 Anyway lets get back to the gig! Setlist anyone? Tracy Jacks There's No Other Way Clover Over Dover Charmless Man Coffee & TV Parklife Beetlebum Out Of Time Song 2 The Universal She's So High For Tomorrow Bank Holiday To The End Jubilee Stereotypes Music Is My Radar Country House End Of A Century Would be incredible
Daz.I Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Albarn has spawned many a side project that have all been successful, critically and commercially.Meanwhile, Noel and Liam pratted about riding on the success of WonderWall, and have written about one decnt tune since. mate I aint mad keen on blur put that statement is fucking pants, as a big oasis fan you just have to sit back and think where are both bands now I love Nihat sometimes more than others. But I fooking love him for what hes just said here. sam.. go on this website http://www.talentlessoise.com/hiphop/kanye-west wembley 3 nights in a row sold out, end this thread immediately muwahahaha

Phube Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 All you Blur fans out there, what album should I download, of Blur's obviously.I like Blur, but haven't heard an awful lot. Modern Life is Rubbish!
Lillehamring Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Modern Life is Rubbish! i have this on vinyl (still have my free train picture ) and although it is a fabulous album, with songs that are DIFFERENT to each other, it has to be the worst mastered album ever (at least on vinyl) - it is unbelievably quiet! ..oh, and re: the 'brit pop war' - i only have one word to say.... PULP.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 mate I aint mad keen on blur put that statement is fucking pants, as a big oasis fan you just have to sit back and think where are both bands now sam.. go on this website http://www.talentlessoise.com/hiphop/kanye-west wembley 3 nights in a row sold out, end this thread immediately muwahahaha Okay, Blur are about to come back with one of these enormous gigs, getting people genuinely excited, while the Gallagher brothers slag off other bands, themselves having done nothing of note since the mid-nineties.
