Probably going to go with option two, because there will be no cleaning up in the morning. What have you lot got planned?

Guest Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 I'm going to a Back To The Future themed fancy dress party My mates who are organising it have gone to town with decorating the house, including turning their mini into a delorean (can't wait to see that) and decorating each of the main three rooms downstairs as a scene from each of the three films. One of em is going as a flux capacitor which I can't wait to see

Everywhere will charge to get in, drinks will be sky high, and you will get ID'd everywhere you go, which is extra hassle. Taxi home will cost a fortune. I'd say you're better off having a bash at yours, for the sake of cleaning up. If you have decent enough mates, they'll chip in and help you clean up. I'm babysitting my niece NYE so my brother and his fiance can go out and enjoy themselves.

The drinks/taxi's etc really go up that much? Yep - Because no doubt you'll be going home on (Officially) New Years Day, It'll be double fair. Getting a taxi will also be a nightmare, and it may also be raining and absolutely freezing. If you don't have proper ID you won't get in anywhere and you'll be paying near on £4 for a drink. On the other hand you could - Get a crate in which will be cheap anyway. Get the Xbox and some music on, get some food in, get some good mates round, who you know you can trust so you know nothing will go tits up and actually enjoy the night, see the new year in without any major hassle.
