There you can drink any number of fruit beers all night without tasting the same one twice. And very agreeable some of them too. In fact Bruges should be a kind of Mecca for beer drinkers - a place they all visit at least once in their life.

For anyone interested in reading about beer and drinking habits around the world try reading Three Sheets to the Wind by Pete Brown, it's a really good read and quite funny. Pete travelled around the world trying out local pubs and local beers, what a great job!

But I see what you're trying to say... These days Bruges is accessible by Eurostar. I might arrange a weekend there some time in the summer.
