Rodderz Posted 11 January 2009 Posted 11 January 2009 Starts Today Would love to see Mark Selby take the title again
isaidno Posted 11 January 2009 Posted 11 January 2009 Selby needs a good result here. He hasn't done a lot since winning this last year. He got knocked out in the first round at the crucible and has dropped to 9th in the rankings.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 Selby v Walden is proving to be one of the dullest matches of snooker I've ever watched. 1-1 after 1hr and 45 mins play.
maddog Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 Watching the deciding frame now. God this has been a long match. Looks as though Selbys gonna win it though.
maddog Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 Selbys won it. Just over 4 and a half hours hes just potted a red leaving walden needing 3 snookers and all the remaining balls with blacks. This ones pretty much done. The lads carrying on though
Ultra Posted 14 January 2009 Posted 14 January 2009 Hardly any fans left at the end. Selby can be an exciting player on his day, but that was one of the most dour games you'll ever see.
dandannieldanok Posted 14 January 2009 Posted 14 January 2009 The only player really standing out to be in some consistent form is the young lad from Northern Ireland, Allen I think.
FilboFox Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Selby losing 4-2 to some fat little troll... very annoying!
Milky Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Selby losing 4-2 to some fat little troll... very annoying! the fat little troll keep picking his nose in the chair
JakeShingler Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 What a game and well played by Selby 3 centuarys in a row. Jester from Leicester
dandannieldanok Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Inconsistent stuff from Selby today, some cracking breaks but also some untypical carelessness let him down. I think he'll have to improve to retain his title but you've got to be in it to win it, and he can now sit back and watch the others tough it out knowing he's in the semis. Fair play to him, really hope he wins it and has a great 2009.
Ultra Posted 16 January 2009 Posted 16 January 2009 O'Sullivan looked ominously good tonight. Looks like the tournament is his to lose..
dandannieldanok Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 O'Sullivan looked ominously good tonight. Looks like the tournament is his to lose.. O'Sullivan was very good last night but Stephen Maguire found his top level in the match before so it's far from a forgone conclusion, it should be a cracking match.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Selby needs a major breakdown if he's going to lose this now. In the driving seat.
Uncle Albert Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Go on Mark! Dream final Selby v O'Sullivan.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Think he'll take this frame and the match.
