Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Job done. Just needs to beat O'Sullivan now...
Milky Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Higgins was woeful today, probably the worst i've ever seen him play. Selby finally got it going in those last 4 frames.
Lillehamring Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 seeing as no one replied to my question of when the semis were, when is the final - sunday evening?
Matt Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 seeing as no one replied to my question of when the semis were, when is the final - sunday evening? Maguire v O'Sullivan - 9pm Tonight. Final - Selby v Maguire/O'Sullivan - 2.00pm/8.00pm Sunday. This is a very helpful website...

Matt Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Maguire v O'Sullivan as just started, not 9pm. Oh, I did think it was late, but was watching the Selby match and at the end i'm sure they said we will be back at 9 with Maguire v O'Sullivan. Oh right just checked I was kind of right, Maguire v O'Sullivan has just started but you have to press the red button, but coverage obviously starts at 9pm on BBC2.
Milky Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 seeing as no one replied to my question of when the semis were, when is the final - sunday evening? sorry master douche
Father Ted Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Great stuff from Selby! The 24th century of the tournament was just pure class
RowlattsFox Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 I don't think Ronnie and Mark get on, so it will have an extra spice to it. Selby will probably try and play as slow as possible and hope to wind Ronnie up.
isaidno Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 O'Sullivan was pure class. The 136 break was brilliant

Selby will probably try and play as slow as possible and hope to wind Ronnie up. Ronnie doesn't strike me as a likeable person so that doesn't surprise me. Hopefully Selby wins and then Ronnie can go and do his own thing and play x-factor snooker and bugger off. C'mon Mark!

Selby will probably try and play as slow as possible and hope to wind Ronnie up. Think that is why they dont get on because Ronnie criticised Selby's style of play but when Selby is in the balls he is quite a quick player. Either way tomorrow one of my favourite players in the game will have won. Should be a cracker of a match. Tipping Ronnie but I think I want Mark that little bit more.

Yep, I'm in complete agreement with that.
Matt Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Ronnie O'Sullivan - 2/5 Mark Selby - 15/8 I'm tempted by Selby's odds. It all depends on what Ronnie O'Sullivan actually turns up.

Milky Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 All the other games have been best of 11, but for the final are we talking best of 15?
dandannieldanok Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 All the other games have been best of 11, but for the final are we talking best of 15? Best of 19 - first to 10.
Matt Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 2-1 O'Sullivan. But for the first 2 frames Selby hardly got on the table, last frame Selby made good use of his table time and impressed. C'mon Mark!
Salieri Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Get in Mark, needed that frame. Just 1 behind at 3-2 O'Sullivan now..... Hoping for a classic finale this evening 10-9 to Selby!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Selby's starting to build some momentum at the minute.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Not a great time for the evening break for Selby. Should go into the evening session 4-3 up.
Matt Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 The Jester from Leicester goes into the evening set 4-3 up. Come on Mark!
