jerakin Posted 11 January 2009 Posted 11 January 2009 Some of you lot seem to hate the Tigers. Why? I always cheer them on. Love the Tigers. Jerakin
Guest Posted 11 January 2009 Posted 11 January 2009 Not me. I'm a fan of Tigers too but City's always my priority
Fosse Boy Posted 11 January 2009 Posted 11 January 2009 Not me. I'm a fan of Tigers too but City's always my priority Same. Haven't been to Welford Road for a few years now though. Decided to concentrate on following City around about the same time we became shit.
thebluefox Posted 11 January 2009 Posted 11 January 2009 seems more the other way to me, i know plenty of tigers fans who like it when city lose
Fosse Boy Posted 11 January 2009 Posted 11 January 2009 seems more the other way to me, i know plenty of tigers fans who like it when city lose Yeah, think you're right. I mean, someone could go to a City match in a Tigers shirt and no-one bats an eyelid, but I think you'd probably get a few looks if you walked around Welford Road in City colours.
Tommeh Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 I'd say its more my hate for rugby as opposed to just the tigers but strongly dislike both. The fans have always got on my tits, the sheer smugness of them on the trains in the past few seasons, the way they seemed to think they had a devine right to take share of filbert way etc. Its also so cringeworthy when people turn up to city games in tigers gear, I'd rather them wear replica shirts!

The man's mad. I've seen him eat a plastic pie!
BoneDog Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 I always look out for Tigers score and want em to win but I know p*ss all about rugby and have never been to a match or oat
Floating Fox Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 Hate rugby Union and everything about it. The fans piss me off the most. I'll cheer if they lose.

I went to a Tigers game wearing a Wallibies shirt just after England won the world cup. Got me in to the players function after the game and got Martin Johnson to sign it. I thought going to the Rugby was a quality day out and Welford road had a bit of charecter.

The character is about to disappear but their revamped one looks more impressive than our lego box and will hold 30K
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 The character is about to disappear but their revamped one looks more impressive than our lego box and will hold 30K Does look good, but yeah it did have character stands all over the place.
purpleronnie Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 I always found it funny when the tigers result came up on the scoreboard at filbo and everyone booed if they had won.
Durnerz Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 I like both sports but like many I can't stand Tigers fans. If we all parked our car on the grass verges of Tigers way we'd all be clamped and towed away being the 'hooligans' that we football supporters are
Finnegan Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 Hate rugby Union and everything about it. The fans piss me off the most. I'll cheer if they lose. Never quite understood that. And what do you mean by "and everything about it?" I hate Rugby League, the sport, can't get into it at all - but I wouldn't go so far as to say I "loathe everything about it." Closest I come to that is Darts and the ridiculous way people carry on about a bunch of fat blokes playing a pub game; but generally I just figure people are free to enjoy what they want. If Leicester had a Rugby League side I'd not cheer when they lost. I certainly don't cheer if the LCCC lose and I can't stand that either! Don't quite understand why I'd want or need to, really? The so-called "snobbery" from Tigers fans and the alleged disdain the other way from the City fans is really just a minority exaggerated for the sakes of a few whinges. A majority of the normal sports fans I know enjoy seeing most of the city's teams do well. Edit: Like Durnerz' post, I mean that's basically just complete bollocks. Have been a season ticket holder at both in recent times and can really confirm that that's just totally dross.

Have been a season ticket holder at both in recent times and can really confirm that that's just totally dross. I don't understand the point of Rugby Union, League makes much more sense and in my opinion is a better spectator sport. I despise the majority of tigers fans to be quite honest. If you come across them in a pub they are much less likely to talk to city fans and also generally aren't as nice folk as the city fans you'll find. The attitude some of them have simply makes me sick. The way they think they are better than us. Also there are a section of them that don't support Leicester because we're "crap". I hate people that are only attached to something because it's sucsesfull. I couldn't give a fook how good something is. I'm not saying they are all like this, or tyring to make sweeping generalisations as I have met nice Tigers fans, with things I have in common etc. I cheer when they lose as maybe someday they'll shut up about how "good" they are. I am also, undiably, jealous, of the fact they are aloud terracing, even in the new stadium!
