I don't know why...

...I have this feeling we'll get a result at Sunderland tomorrow. We have generally played raised our game against the 'better' opposition this season. (Bar Wigan at home)

If playing the league leaders at the Stadium Of Light isn't a big enough motivation, I don't know what is. I've watched Sunderland on a number of occasions this season, and they remind me of us when we got promoted a few seasons ago. They are very much a grinding side, who have a sprinkling of talent. Their midfield and forward line are nothing to shout about, however, they've done the business this season. Look at our side compared to their's, and you'll see player for player, we're not that far behind.

Levein is right when he says any team can beat anyone else in this division. With Sunderland nearing the end of the season and in touching distance of the Premiership, they could be wobbling tomorrow...

Anyone agree?

Oh well, it was worth a try... ;)

CL also seems to think we raise our game against the top teams, which is quite strange really. 2 pts from a possible 15 against the top three, 1pt from a possible 6 against Reading, 2pts from a possible 6 against Preston, beat Derby although they were the better side, yet to play them at home. The only teams from the top eight we've beaten this season are Derby and Sheffield United, and they were both under Adams. Two wins from fourteen games. Nearly as unacceptable as losing at home to every team in the bottom three.

I suppose we have to try and be positive, recently we have failed to beat teams we should of beaten so lets hope tomorrow we can't be a team we shouldn't be able beat.

One of the main reasons i think we do better against the beetter teasm is they dont just sit back and make it hard for us to break them down, the better teams attack us which gives us more space up there. well thats what i think anyway :D

come one 3 points tomorrow

Whether we get a result or not remains to be seen. But you are right in one respect. There's not that much talent in that side and they aint got strength in depth either. Derby are the only side that stand out.

So when posters go on about Adams 'crap' signings and Micky's 'mess', THINK. Stop talking in abstractions. Crap - compared to whom? MAN U or Preston? Mess - Arsenal or Reading?

Our Club compares very favourably in virtually all departments to any set-up in the Championship. In fact, in every department bar one.

Guess the stunning exception...
