Big Bad Fox Posted 16 January 2009 Posted 16 January 2009 forgive me if people disagree.. but well.. seeing as tunchev is now out for the season i would certainly rather see him there instead of Hobbs/morrison.. even if he did say he was "unimpressed" with leicester.. i cant see him saying no.. when we're top, and they're slowly falling down the table..

Controversial, but would be a decent signing. Although I can see NP not buying anyone if he has enough faith in Morrison and if he believes in Berner to play CB and with Kissa coming back.

God no. Michael Nelson could be a decent replacement.
Edmund Posted 16 January 2009 Posted 16 January 2009 He cant be that amazing if S****horpe let him go and leeds turned him down. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/leed...move.4878618.jp
AjcW Posted 16 January 2009 Posted 16 January 2009 Anyone know if that ivan ivanov rumor was true or not..... if so he sounded like a solid enough defender according to our friend from cska sofia.

Edmund Posted 16 January 2009 Posted 16 January 2009 We don't need anybody amazing though. Id rather look at the bigger picture. Will he be able to cut in the championship next year or just become a bench warmer when tunch comes back. Ideally we would sign on a short term deal but I doubt he would want to. We have wasted enough money as it is.
turkish14 Posted 16 January 2009 Posted 16 January 2009 Have just been reading the s****horpe messsage boards (im bored), the general opinion of there fans is that iriekpen is a liability defensivlly and a troublemaker with his teamates. Dont think he would be pearsons type of player.
BWRL Posted 16 January 2009 Posted 16 January 2009 He looked awful last season when he played us at the walkers! He was also inviting the ref to send him off!
dandannieldanok Posted 16 January 2009 Posted 16 January 2009 If he's not good enough for teams below us in the league then I'd rather Pearson doesn't take a punt on him, unless of course he accepted a 6 month deal but that's unlikely.
sdb Posted 16 January 2009 Posted 16 January 2009 he'd have to eat a big portion of apple and humble pie whilst being paraded to please me. i think we can cope without another CB if Kis is back within a few weeks.
Ultra Posted 16 January 2009 Posted 16 January 2009 On the plus side, he could link up well with Hobbs. Didn't they play together at Scunny last season? But Iriekpen's rapid fall from grace at Glanford Park suggests there are off-the-field issues which may put clubs off signing him.
