Edmund Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 Flowers and welcome messages in the away end toilets was the icing on the cake! Sounds a bit dodgy to me.
JoeyB Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 Sounds a bit dodgy to me. I wonder what icing she got on her cake
Daggers Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 Personally, I too thought it was nice to have Flowers in the toilets - it's been so long since I saw him last.
Edmund Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 I wonder what icing she got on her cake It was a bloke called Tom. Just found it a bit odd why a grown up man was taken back by the flowers. Oh well. (I got your joke though)
Guest Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 Personally, I too thought it was nice to have Flowers in the toilets - it's been so long since I saw him last. Sir Fynwy has told me he gave you the idea behind this post.
Corky Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 Sir Fynwy has told me he gave you the idea behind this post. They both have Coventry connections <_<
Guest Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 They both have Coventry connections <_< I think his MD knows him.
Daggers Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 Sir Fynwy has told me he gave you the idea behind this post. True that
Corky Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 I think his MD knows him. It does help if SF knows his own MD
rmc Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 haha it's their top story also you think they've framed it too?
Ultra Posted 22 January 2009 Posted 22 January 2009 Fair play to them. They treated us with respect, and we reciprocated. I suspect another club in this league with a sizeable away following might not have responded in the same way, though..
Porky Posted 22 January 2009 Posted 22 January 2009 Well it's original...I'll give them that. Certainly gave me a chuckle though when I first saw it.
surrifox Posted 22 January 2009 Posted 22 January 2009 tut tut you should all be aware that good manners and politeness cost nothing (well apart from an iced cake on this occasion)
Darkzzz_ Posted 22 January 2009 Posted 22 January 2009 I guess it is a nice gesture. I wasn't at the game but I heard it was a cracking night from the fans point of view.
Guest Posted 22 January 2009 Posted 22 January 2009 It does help if SF knows his own MD Sometimes it's better if you don't know the MD! As for Yeovil, I found the stewards really helpful. I wasn't feeling well, and was finding it nigh on impossible to stand, but I was allowed to move to the seats, and the steward who took me round checked up on me a couple of times to make sure I was ok and didn't need any urgent medical attention. He could quite easily have told me it was against their regulations to allow me to sit down, or whatever, but the fact he did it without any hesitation was great.
