Jordan Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 June 27th......Come out to C-Bus. They are kids. you have to enjoy their enthusiasm. There's a good chance I'll use some of my vacation time this June, so I will give this serious consideration. RBNY have Toronto away that Wednesday so I might even see if a little two-city, two-country, two-game trip is possible.

If nothing else, you can fly here pretty cheap from NYC. The Clippers are at home that weekend as well. In other news 442 has a MLS season preview in the current issue.
placidcasual Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 One good thing about MLS. You know exactly how much the players make. http://www.mlsplayers.org/files/3_2_09_salary_info_club.pdf
purpleronnie Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 I'VE LEAVING FOR SUNNY HOUSTON IN A FEW DAYS!!!!! Really looking forward to the new season!!!!!!!
Bridge Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 MLS opening night is this Thursday. I'll be watching(on TV) Sh**tle lose at home to NYRB. NYRB are heading down to Portland for a friendly against our Timbers on the following night. They'll probably play all the starters again as they might not even break a sweat against the Flounders.

This is NYRB we're talking about, so let's chalk up three points before they actually win it... But seriously, they might be a little better and deeper this season than in 2008 if Albert Celades still has enough gas in his tank and doesn't treat MLS like his retirement holiday... but I think the only way they get back to the MLS Cup final is the way they did last year--rugged defending and a few fortunate bounces.

Bridge Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 After the great hospitality shown to us at the U.S. Mexico match in Columbus by the Crew supporters I hope they do well this year!
placidcasual Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 After the great hospitality shown to us at the U.S. Mexico match in Columbus by the Crew supporters I hope they do well this year! So do I. Vancouver are in for 2011..... Looks like they are tapping the Pacific NW market. Especially if your mob makes it in.

Podge Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 I am gonna take an interest in MLS this season for the first time. It looks like the fans have a shitload more fun over there then we do over here. Still undecided on who to follow though.
Jordan Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Pick a side soon, the season's about to start in a few hours!
purpleronnie Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 WOW was really impressed with Seattle on and off the pitch. If they continue to play like that they'll be hard to catch, off the pitch was very impressed seemed like the whole stadium stood for the whole 90 mins and make lots of noise. Nice tifo at the start too. Wasnt sure seattle was the best team to enter the MLS but I was wrong another american city mad about 'soccer' great stuff.
placidcasual Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 New York were awful. They need to fix their defence soon or they are going to concede a lot this season.
