placidcasual Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 My friends have way too much time on their hands.
Jordan Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 New York were awful. They need to fix their defence soon or they are going to concede a lot this season. I'm not ashamed to say I turned the game off and went to bed at halftime.
General Smuts Posted 22 March 2009 Author Posted 22 March 2009 That's epic. Glad i picked the right team
AmericanScott Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 The sooner NY gets another MLS team, the better.
purpleronnie Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 1-1 for us, it was a very good game, dissapointed at the end. So glad the season has started, I've missed it.

That pitch made it a complete joke. Marshalls goal should not have been disallowed. Columbus should have been 3 up by HT.
placidcasual Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 Oh and www.mlsnet.com usually has all the highlights up of every game.
Fox You Forest Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 So glad the season has started, I've missed it. Says on SSN that Akinbiyi is in talks with Houston.

It was not...well I dint think so anyway. You definately had the best of the 1st half but we we're by far the best in the 2nd and could have gone further ahead, and we should never had conceaded your goal. Pretty fair result in the end I guess.
TrickyTrev Posted 27 March 2009 Posted 27 March 2009 I am thinking of going to the DC United V Chicago Fire match tomorrow. Does anybody know if I can get tickets on the door of the RFK stadium? Ticketmaster want a transaction fee and I have some dollars I want to get rid of anyway. Also, what players should I look out for? What do people think of the two sides? Is the RFK Stadium nice? It looks kind of big, bit worried it is going to be basically empty.

It'll be empty almost. edit: Don't expect it to look anywhere as full as this.
AmericanScott Posted 29 March 2009 Posted 29 March 2009 Results 28th March Toronto 1 - 1 Columbus Chicago 1 - 1 DC United New England 1 - 1 New York Kansas City 1 - 2 Colorado Houston 2 - 3 San Jose Real Salt Lake 0 - 2 Seattle Today's Fixture Chivas v Dallas Seattle are looking alright as the new boys. Wonder how long it'll last? edit: Check out the highlights. Just watched Seattle's goals. Montero is impressive.
General Smuts Posted 8 April 2009 Author Posted 8 April 2009 Montero is a hero. And Freddie got himself on the score sheet in the big game from my point of view - Seattle Vs Toronto. Seattle are on fire.
AmericanScott Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 Seattle finally lose! Hopefully it doesn't start a slide now. New York 0 - 0 Houston Crap result for both of us eh Ronnie?
purpleronnie Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 I guess a point away from home is never that bad especially after you knocked us out last season. Sounded like a pretty dull but physical game, plenty of yellow and red cards given. I thought after your goalie was taken off so early we'd have a chance. Good attendance though almsot 20,000, I think when you get your new stadium its going to be great for NY fans, definately have the fan base. As for us it looks like it will be a tough season.

Jordan Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 Ehh, all things considered I'll definitely take the point on the road. But still--and yes, I know it's a long season and learned quite well last season that the playoffs can be a crap-shoot--I'm not exactly encouraged by RBNY's start. They need a win. Maybe next week at home against Salt Lake? I might be there for that one. Has Akinbiyi played yet? Or is he joining at the end of the English season. He didn't dress yesterday. Maybe next week? Or did Houston actually see first-hand how crappy he is and now have cold feet about playing him? Garber, MLS and DC United brass are threatening to move the team if they can't get a stadium built. Hmm...
placidcasual Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stupid idiots need to concentrate in the last ten minutes.
