Jordan Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Hey PC what was up with the attendance on Saturday? I guess the casual fans have joined the squad in forgetting that they are an MLS Cup-holding team ...or maybe everyone in Columbus now has Blue Jackets fever (good luck to them, btw).

I guess the casual fans have joined the squad in forgetting that they are an MLS Cup-holding team ...or maybe everyone in Columbus now has Blue Jackets fever (good luck to them, btw). No idea. Easter Saturday (Columbus is a town of people not from Columbus) so people going home for Easter. That and the Front Office doesn't have any idea how to market. I have tickets to game 3....
General Smuts Posted 15 April 2009 Author Posted 15 April 2009 Seattle finally got beat which is a shame. Another point for Toronto too. All good stuff.
Jordan Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 I know, it's Rangers-Capitals Game 6 (read: Game 7, because if the Rangers don't close it out today, they're not winning the next one), but I'm gonna go see a different NY-DC rivalry today: Red Bulls vs. DC United. It's gonna be in the high 80s (that's 30 C for all you Limeys) without a cloud in the sky, and let's face it--it's just too damn nice outside to watch sports inside when one can watch them outside. And I have a particular dislike for DCU. Chivas USA look awesome so far. I've always hated to say it, but that organization has done a great job of building themselves into a contender. Even during their rough first season, it was clear that they had loads of excellent young talent.
General Smuts Posted 27 April 2009 Author Posted 27 April 2009 New England Revolution got a pasting! Toronto with another good win. And Danny Dichio got himself a goal against Kansas last week. Legend! See they've signed Pablo Vitti as well. Great player. Seattle back winning again. All good stuff.
purpleronnie Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 SSSSSHHHHHHH Well Houston doing ok, back in the US Friday, I'm trying to plan a visit to portland or seattle or maybe both. Great vid of portland fans v seattle:- And there not even in the MLS......yet!

Jordan Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 So, Captain Vanity finally has a response to Landon Donovan's criticism, what, two weeks after excerpts of Grant Wahl's "The Beckham Experiment" was released? Donovan's comments were "unprofessional?" Yeah, Donovan himself admitted he should have handled the situation better--but his criticism is still valid. You know what else is unprofessional, Mr. Beckham? Figuratively holding yourself hostage in Milan to finagle a move away from the Galaxy. Never mind that contract you signed--just like the way you've played since joining LA. How ironic that you can go out and perform well for a Serie A side yet you're complete shit in MLS. I also have to love how Beckham says he's going to put a "positive spin" on this matter but only made passive aggressive comments. Beckham and Donovan can go have their awkward private conversation, that's fine. But I think it's time for Beckham to realize that a large part of his obligations here in the U.S. involve playing well for the Galaxy, not being lazy in midfield, making sloppy passes, complaining to the refs nor taking cheap shots at opponents.
Bridge Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 No means no..Freddy Montero! He scores disputed goals and scores with unwilling women..gotta love the little fuker. Houston was ripped off by the new darlings of MLS..

You clearly respect Goldenballs as much as I do... But wait - it gets better.. "In 17 years, I have played with the biggest teams in the world and the biggest players and not once been criticised for my professionalism" So the bust-ups with Fergie and Capello were figments of their imagination, eh David?
Samilktray Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Landon Donovan is a nobody. Until he achieves anything in his career hes not worthy of mentioning Beckham. Beckhams too good to be playing over there anyway, get him back in the Prem please!
Jordan Posted 13 July 2009 Posted 13 July 2009 Landon Donovan is a nobody.Until he achieves anything in his career hes not worthy of mentioning Beckham. Beckhams too good to be playing over there anyway, get him back in the Prem please! "Samilktray is a nobody. Until he achieves anything in his career, he's not worthy of mentioning Donovan." See how ridiculous that reads? Landon Donovan is the best player and the leader on that team, with or without Beckham. Beckham used to be a divo with a tramp stamp that had overrated skills yet a severely underrated work ethic. Now he's a divo with a tramp stamp that has overrated skills and only tries hard when he feels like it.
Ultra Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 He returns to the MLS tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see how the fans take to him.
purpleronnie Posted 15 July 2009 Posted 15 July 2009 I predict the girls will be happy, as for the rest he'll get stick, some from LA fans but more from opposing fans, but whats new? if he performs on the pitch it will be forgotten or at least it will be forgotten by LA Galaxy fans. I'm pissed off because it looks like I will be back in England in october and I'll miss the end of the season (again) which includes the Galaxy game. But I'm trying to move my holidays around so I'll see the LA game but I'll miss the MLS playoffs.
General Smuts Posted 15 July 2009 Author Posted 15 July 2009 No means no..Freddy Montero! He scores disputed goals and scores with unwilling women..gotta love the little fuker. Houston was ripped off by the new darlings of MLS.. YES FREDDY!

Jordan Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Question for you smuts coz you seem pretty clued up on mls...Why do addidas make everyones kit . Seems a little boring to me. They have an exclusive contract with MLS--and it seems a little boring because it is, indeed, boring. Edit: didn't realize you were asking Smuts--I took a quick look at your post and I swore you wrote "cvnts" My bad.
