Football these days

Still love the game , watch most the English games that sky show and generally have Sky sports news on in my house just to see whats going on in the football world.

The thing that disappoints me the most really is the match day experience . Weve all heard the Filbert Street over Walkers stadium debate but i serious feel for our younger supporters who never experienced Filbo. The days at Filbo were a fantastic memory of my childhood and the atmospheres created nowadays home and away come no where near to days of old.

I played saturdays back in 2002/03 but packed it in at the end of the season because i justed missed watching the City , it was 1st season at the Walkers and with us doing well it made me really miss it. Ive never played saturdays since and concentrate on sundays instead .

Id like to go more non league games for the craic but never will i do that infront of watching my club

I still love it.

The money has pissed me off as there is such a gulf now. But I still watch any footy on tv and love it at the Walkers or away games.

Sparky makes a good point about Filbo - it was far more enjoyable, so close to the pitch and away fans. Real heritage.

Hear hear. Hopefully though, in time, we'll get that feel for Filbert Way like we did at the Street.

We actually felt like a proper club at Filbert St though.

Anyone else not too fussed with it, this season in particular? Not lost any love for city still enjoying going to all the games more than ever but unless I'm there live or playing myself in Sunday league I really am not fussed by the game.

Tv football just bores me, all this transfer bollocks the premier league etc. It really doesn't bother me anymore which I'm actually quite sad about.

Not trying to start a debate here because I respect that 95% will think I'm talking bollocks, but just wondering if I was the only one.......

Lost total interest in Prem and all that.

And only slightly for City which I think could be down to us winning so easily every week. I would prefer it if we fought for it more, even though losing a few games.

Really? After five years of total misery I thought most would be delighted with the fact we are winning matches, and in style too.

Well, it's just boring, you know what the score will be before the match.

But if you're playing Sheff Utd or Brum or someone like that, anything could happen and the standard is higher aswell.

But obviously I am delighted we are tearing this league apart... lol

I still love it. I go and watch Fulham occasionally and sometimes Villa too and I enjoy it.

I don't have Sky Sports and I don't want it either. Match of the Day is enough for me with the highlights of the weekends game. If I wanna watch Super Sunday Big 4 whatever then I'll pop down to my mates' house or find a way.

Literally fell asleep last night watching Everton versus Liverpool. Just woke up in time to see the winner and a terrific goal it was.

Apart from Leicester the only team I choose to watch now is United.

What with saturation coverage, dour tactics, the endless stoppages, game-slowing substititions, unnecessary bookings, witless or through-the-motions commentators and managers who deem talking to the fans after the game to be beneath them, I really wouldn't complain if I never watched another televised football match in my life.

Indeed if there was a decent film or play on at the same time, most of the football would have no chance.

However I've mostly loved watching City this season. There's always good company to be found at the Swan and, like others, I've especially enjoyed the away games where the singing seems so much more witty, off-the-cuff and full of enthusiasm as shown so typically at Walsall this week and, for example, at Sheffield United last season.

Thracian, wouldn't you chose to watch Arsenal as well?

In fact, even Chelsea have started to play some decent stuff under Scolari.
