Football these days

Anyone else not too fussed with it, this season in particular? Not lost any love for city still enjoying going to all the games more than ever but unless I'm there live or playing myself in Sunday league I really am not fussed by the game.

Tv football just bores me, all this transfer bollocks the premier league etc. It really doesn't bother me anymore which I'm actually quite sad about.

Not trying to start a debate here because I respect that 95% will think I'm talking bollocks, but just wondering if I was the only one.......

You are the only one :P. But I can understand what you are saying.

But would you be saying the same things if Leicester were on TV virtually every other week like the bigger clubs, and would you be saying it if Leicester were rumoured to be buying every player possible??

I used to watch all the football I could a few years back, Spanish, Italian, English even lower division stuff, but not I am seriously considering turning off ITV's coverage of Everton v Liverpool and putting on Tiger Woods on the Wii. I am 25, watched and loved football for the whole of my life, but todays football is too commercialised and so hyped up by people who just want your money that they have made me feel that, what the principles of the game were, are being lost by those who see the game as a vehicle to grab us by the ankles and see what's in our collective pockets.

I love watching ESPN Classic matches! Watched Sutton Utd beat Cov from 88/89 last night! Magic

Super sunday is still great, whats better then 2 games on a sunday. Even the big games have been good this season. I love the mid tables side playing on sunday 4 0 clock kick off. Normally something great happens.

Always remember watching West ham Vs Spurs a few years ago, breath taking.

I agree with Tommeh, the buzz has gone for me, I don't get as excited as I used to about matches plus I dont feel bad about missing City matches.

I admire the enthusiasm of the younger generation on the forum with regard to away games and having season tickets, takes me back to when I was 15/16, maybe i'm just getting old now lol

I agree, there is no loyalty in Football no more, proof of this was Lee camp saving Derbys penalty for Nottingham Forest and he's a Derby fan and then jumping up and down to celebrate after(or the other way round) Game: 1-1 Draw; Pride Park 2008.

Did you expect him to let it in?!

I really dont know to be honest, It's a penalty at the end of the day how many are saved compared to scored? Then topping that off he gets up and jumps up and down waving his arms in the air?

If i'd just saved a penalty in a massive game i'd be ecstatic too.

What utter bollocks, its his job.

Football bores me now, I was mighty excited about the Arshavin transfer though.

Yes.

So your telling me you'd still save a penalty even tho it's YOUR TEAM your saving it agaisnt and get up and celebrate in that manner?

Pretty much, yeah.

Yes.

Although the rolleyes did make me doubt myself.

No Loyalty then, like I said in the first post, he's a keeper more penaltys are scored than saved so you could hardly blame him if it actually went in, in this case it didnt then he celebrates like that?

Ok, I have no loyalty.

He's just made himself a hero by saving a penalty in a tense game, the biggest game of the season. Whether he was a Derby fan as a boy or not, doesn't make any difference.

I'm sure you'd celebrate if you scored against Leicester for a team.

Edit - forgot:
