There's a small chance each and every day that you could die. Could be run down by a maniac, you could be stabbed (if you live in London or some such place) or shot (if you live in Nottingham), you could just be working class (if you reside in Yorkshire). You could even be struck by lightning or a falling grand piano. Each day you *could* die, and if you don't, you have escaped death.
