The Albion manager met with chairman Dick Knight yesterday afternoon, and following lengthy discussions about the team's current league position, it was mutually agreed that in the best interests of the club that Adams should stand aside. Knight said, "Nobody would dispute that results have been disappointing and I am very sad, as all Albion fans will be, that things haven't worked out." Dean White and Bob Booker will take charge of the team for today's game at Millwall and Tuesday night's home game against Northampton Town. Is it really true 30 odd managers have been sacked out of 92 league clubs, I know after last season we can't preach too much but it is abit pathetic isn't it.

As long as they're stuck in that hovel of a "stadium" and have no money, any manager is likely to struggle. Clearly our four-point donation to ease their plight wasn't quite enough in the end.

Ian Holloway maybe to take another side down into another league ??

Apologies for goin off topic, Stig, why is your Nige-o-meter at -1? Did it get so high that you had to start again at a lower starting point to see if he could get back to 10 again before the end of the season?

Thracian Posted 22 February 2009 Posted 22 February 2009 The very nature of football is that far more teams will fail than will ever succeed in a given season and failure is virtually certain if you have no money. Unfortunately seven wins in 30 games, a goals difference of -11 and a position in the bottom four relegation places is not going to endear a manager to anyone. Especially when they remember that the previous time he managed the club he enjoyed a 45.6 win percentage, earned the club promotion from Division three and sowed the seeds of a further promotion as Division Two champions. At the rate managers get paid I'd doubt it will be the end of the world for the guy. And I'm sure football will soon find him alternative employment. But whether Brighton will be able to find a better manager at this stage of the season is quite something else.

I shall not update it to 9.5 and I'll be othered to use an arrow like normal.
