Daggers Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Tonight, tomorrow and Weds - footy programs worth recording: Maradona, Pele, Fascism, Barca, Korea in '66 & Zidane
Joe. Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Cheers, stuck them all on record. I'll watch the Maradona one tonight, been meaning to watch it before actually. Heard about the Zidane one too, sounds quite interesting. I think they debuted it at the Cannes Film Festival if I remember rightly.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 For those that haven't seen In The Hands Of The Gods - (Listed as Maradona, for some reason) It really is worth a watch. Got the Doovde. On tonight at 10.
Fosse Boy Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 There was one on Communism & Football the other night too. Interesting stuff.
lildave3 Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 Watched the Maradona one last night before I went to bed, expected to fall asleep during it but I was gripped. Fantastic little film I thought. Recording everything else on there now
Fox You Forest Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 There was one on Communism & Football the other night too. Interesting stuff. That one was quality. ------- Is the world cup that Italy won still counted? Also that trophy was hideous.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 Watched the Maradona one last night before I went to bed, expected to fall asleep during it but I was gripped. Fantastic little film I thought.Recording everything else on there now The Scouse needs a clip round the ear 'ole.
lildave3 Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 The Scouse needs a clip round the ear 'ole. Not really
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 Not really He does. Especially in the part where he's counting the money he's earnt and just keeps reapeating: "$200! $200! $200!"
lildave3 Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 He does.Especially in the part where he's counting the money he's earnt and just keeps reapeating: "$200! $200! $200!" I'd be a little chuffed if i'd just earnt that many dollars!
Koke Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 That other lad who keep praying to Jesus is a bit of a creepy character.
lildave3 Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 That other lad who keep praying to Jesus is a bit of a creepy character. That's Jeremy Lynch! When i've seen him perform his tricks and wotnot, I imagined him to be nothing that.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 I liked Danny. Just kept out of all the trouble. Not a fan of Woody, really. (A line which I expect to be edited "humourously" )
Koke Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 That's Jeremy Lynch! When i've seen him perform his tricks and wotnot, I imagined him to be nothing that. He's good at what he does, but he comes across as a stranger person.
Bert Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 I have the Maradona film on Dvd. Brilliant it is.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 I have the Maradona film on Dvd. Brilliant it is. I'm always impressed when Danny curls the ball through the gap in the wall on his estate.
Koke Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 I'm always impressed when Danny curls the ball through the gap in the wall on his estate. Quite impressive that is. His accuracy is pretty astonishing.
Bert Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 I'm always impressed when Danny curls the ball through the gap in the wall on his estate. I wonder how long it took him to perfect that.
Fosse Boy Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 That Fascism & Football documentary isn't on iplayer. Gonna have to stay up to watch the North Korea '66 documentary now.
Fosse Boy Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 Anyone watching at the moment? Really good documentary and some classic old school football too!
