£1 - £100 Evens Challenge.

I haven't put this in the Betting thread because it is more like a competition, and I don't want the posts to get lost in that thread.

Okay, the idea is too pick a football team (anywhere in the World) at odds of Evens (1/1) or above starting from £1 making your way up to £100. If you loose you start back at £1. You can bank up to £10 (maximum) at a time - so if you get up to £12 you can bank £10 and your next bet has to be £2 and so on.

If your interested pop your name down and we'll start Saturday.

I don't fully understand but i'm in.

You start off with £1 in a betting account, and the object is to turn that £1 into minimum of £100 betting on football teams with minimum odds of Even money. So if your first bet is £1 at evens you will get £2, your next game you stick £2 at evens to win £4 and so on.

The bets can only be singles and not multiple bets, you can bet on Home, Away or the Draw as long as the odds are Evens or over.

So a quid on Tottenham at 13/8 would get me like £2 something, then i'd stick that on someone else. Right.

Yea I mention it a while ago but it wasn't an evens challenge it was a +1 goal challenge, but the odds are really shit. Finding teams Evens or above is much better, harder granted, but more fun

£1 on 13/8 would get you a return of - £2.62.

Correct, the left side is the bookies payout, the right your stake...it has to be bigger than 1/1

Edit Corrected.

Yeah, the way I got told when i was younger was, to take 13/8 for example.

Pay 8, to win 13.

Edit - so for this, the right side has to be bigger than the left? But, even money is the best price you can find?

So basically its finding a club that has odds of better or even yeah.

So like a cheltenham win could be 4/1 on sat? so i put £1 on and get £5 back then put £2 on the next bet?

You can put the whole £5 on but if you lose you go back to £1 or you could bank £3 and bet £2.

Yea, but if cheltenham are 4/1 you get £5 you have to put £5 on next bet, you can only bank £10.

So if you have a team 10/1 you put your first pound on, you get £11 you can bank £10 and then bet with your £1... if that makes sense?

If you start at Evens and only stick to Even money prices the bets should go like this (providing they all win)...

£1

£2

£4

£8

£16 - at this stage you could bank £10 and bet with £6

£32

£64

£128

And so on, but your initial stake is £1. If you loose, you go back to starting off with £1...So in reality, you are only betting with £1 of your OWN money, the rest is money won.

Ah, so we can only bank £10 at a time? Gotcha. Doesn't matter anyway, my accumulator is going to come off BIG STYLE

I'm in. Are we allowed to use betfair?

I was wondering that, We should whack down a few links what everyone has to use because of the differences in prices across different bookies.
