Shrenchel Posted 9 March 2009 Posted 9 March 2009 http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/au...hampions-league It's really pretty fooking great. Don't talk bollocks. Make some really interesting points. Pretty funny. Have experts on south america, germany, italy and spain.
Simi Posted 9 March 2009 Posted 9 March 2009 Haven't before, might do though. Been reading a few articles they post and they're decent.
Darkzzz_ Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 I subscribe to this and love it. Everything I want to hear from world football they deliver. Always liked Richardson since his Football Italia days and he is very fair, as are all the others on the show. Has it's funny moments also.
StanSP Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Is that the guy who did the Channel 4 Gazzetta Italia before it stopped? Used to love watching that programme - he was and probably still is a good pundit/presenter
Darkzzz_ Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Is that the guy who did the Channel 4 Gazzetta Italia before it stopped?Used to love watching that programme - he was and probably still is a good pundit/presenter Yes that is him and he knows his stuff. Rumours are Channel 4 could get the rights back for it. I like Danny Baker's 606 podcast. Always been fond of daggers podcast.

All the boys really seem to know their stuff. Sid Lowe, the guy that does the Spanish football, shits on any Spanish football journalism Ive read to be honest. His recent article about just quite how fooked Valencia are was really good. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/20...ery-david-villa
Shrenchel Posted 10 March 2009 Author Posted 10 March 2009 Lovely. Don't like when Channel 5 did the matches. Nothing like it used to be It was fooking awful. Wasnt it Chappers pretending to sit in an Italian coffee shop with some really buff girl making shit comments? That might have just been a dream I had.
Darkzzz_ Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 No your right. What a twat !! Laura was a nice treat though. Back to the podcast, I agree I have been listening for a few months now and have enjoyed it. The Spanish man knows his stuff. I urge the FT nation to subscribe.

That might have just been a dream I had. Yeah she was gorgeous. No offence to the Italian accent, but it was hard to understand what she was saying sometimes, and you could only make out team names and scores/scorers. Either that or I was just too busy looking at her and not listening
Shrenchel Posted 12 March 2009 Author Posted 12 March 2009 fooking at James Richardson in the intro to this week's one. "We'll be talking about Fulham's mid-week defeat at home to Blackburn. We ask, now that they regularly suck and go down to visitors at home can we no longer call them cottagers?"

sdb Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 fooking at James Richardson in the intro to this week's one. "We'll be talking about Fulham's mid-week defeat at home to Blackburn. We ask, now that they regularly suck and go down to visitors at home can we no longer call them cottagers?" i preferred last weeks gag after the Ronaldo - Steven Taylor thing. Something along the lines of 'we ask was it the first tongue lashing he's given a man in the tunnel...' but better than that. I love footy weekly, never miss it! Richardson is hilarious and Sid Lowe, as has been said, is amazing.
Darkzzz_ Posted 27 March 2009 Posted 27 March 2009 I enjoyed last nights pod. Even Leicester got a mention. A very brief one. They were discussing the game between Bulgaria and Ireland and they were going through Bulgaria's key men that are out, they went through the list and when Barry Glendenning read "Tunchev" out, the rest of the pod were wondering who "Tunchev" was. "He is a Leicester City defender" said Barry Made me chuckle, I thought we were massive!!
Darkzzz_ Posted 20 September 2009 Posted 20 September 2009 The best podcast around goes live in a one off special. Enjoy. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/se...all-weekly-live

Darkzzz_ Posted 20 September 2009 Posted 20 September 2009 Eh? I'm sure it will be available almost straight away on the website. It wasn't as good as some podcasts, but still nice to hear them live, hope they do more.

Daggers Posted 20 September 2009 Posted 20 September 2009 Mark Clemmit & The Football League podcast rules all. ...and revenge is a dish best served cold, Nath. Oh yes.
sdb Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 do people still listen to this? makes my Monday and Thursdays, absolutely love it. Jimbo this week (after argument over anagrams/metaphors etc)- 'you're having more grammar problems than Steven Ireland' Legend
FoxyPV Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 I love it but iTunes is playing funny buggers and won't let me dowload the podcast. Help!!!
sdb Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 Barry is annoying, fair point. But Jimbo and co more than make up for it. Foxy, once it's sorted, make sure you're seated. Sid drops a bit of a (very small) bombshell. It got me worried anyway.
