BoneDog Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Wow. Why do the people who do these kinds of shootings always kill themselves straight after? None of them ever take the punishment and go to prison. It's strange because most killers don't kill themself but the ones who do these mass shootings always do. I don't get it
BoneDog Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 It was compulsory for a while.I spent most of the lesson eyeing up the girls or thinking about the next Leicester match. It was gripping stuff Thinkin back, I do seem to remember using a sewing machine in my first year at high school Mental int it, makin lads use a sewing machine just cos 1 in 500,000 might want to be a fashion designer!

I don't get it The only thing I can think of is that their warped mind tells them to commit suicide, but to take all those who they feel have made their life miserable with them. The two gunmen at Columbine High who went on a gun spree in 1999 had been bullied for years and decided on a twisted revenge. I wouldn't be surprised if something similar had happened here to be honest.

It was gripping stuff I had a choice between Dance and Drama because I happened to go to a school that had been awarded Specialist status in Performing Arts. Like Corky, my lessons were spent eyeing up the girls. I chose Drama for the record. Lesser of the two evils.

Guest Bilo Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 It's down to marilyn manson : Brilliant documentary that was, and the idiocy of blaming Manson for the killings was brutally satirised by Michael Moore. Like Ultra said at the start of the thread, it's the gun lobby who should take the blame for tragedies like this.

I don't get it In the German case, the gunman was apparently killed in a shootout. There's no indication he wanted to take his own life. He also targeted girls and women on his rampage through the school. The world is better off without such sick lowlife.
Finnegan Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 I love Brian Warner. Very, very clever bloke. (That's Marilyn Manson, by the way.)
MC Prussian Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 In the German case, the gunman was apparently killed in a shootout. There's no indication he wanted to take his own life.He also targeted girls and women on his rampage through the school. The world is better off without such sick lowlife. He first shot 9 pupils and three teachers at the school, then killed an employee of a nearby clinic. Hijacked a car, drove to another village and then pulled the trigger on two passerbys in between a supermarket and a car retailer's, wounding another two policemen in a shootout, during which he was injured. However, the kid did indeed kill himself on a parking lot shortly after. It's sickening. Too many tragic news 'round here with only a few days in between.

Flatly my dear, I don't riverdance.......give a damn.

Like Ultra said at the start of the thread, it's the gun lobby who should take the blame for tragedies like this. It was a quality film. I remember first time I saw it I was moved properly, it was the first time I thought that someone was trying to speak out. There were obviously people speaking up before that but it was the first time I'd noticed it.

Dr The Singh Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Back on topic!! These sorts of killing spree seem to be on the rise, although I have no statistics, when you compare non western nations that have relaxed gunlaws, they seem to have less mass murders via guns!! I have a theory, which could be a shit one, is that if you compare say the Pooooonjab, where getting a local fav. 'double barrel' shot gun is piss easy, they seem less tentative to kill someone with it!! In the west, I feel violence is glorified and with computer games etc it can be seen as premeditated. I can go onto GTA and kill people in many ways. Also, negative violence is also glorified, rap songs talking about popping for a pair of trainers, the list goes on. But say eg Pooooooonjab, violence is propagated as means a fight for justice, honour etc, the songs all sing about killing evil etc!! Consoles aren't readily availbale and western media is limited!!! Your thoughts, please????
purpleronnie Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Here I am, only a few hours in the US, no sleep, and the news of a mass shooting, welcome to America. Not shocked it happend in germany too, they have had similar things happen before, gun laws are nowhere near as strict in germany than the UK. It just makes me relieved for 6 months of the year I live in a country with the strictist gun laws around.
