BlabyFox Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 I don't want to respect the referee when he's being a **** and getting all the decisions wrong and ruining the fooking game.
Tevez Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Unless the FA invest heavily in getting more people to take Referee courses then we're in for a long and ultimately few hard years of Saturday and Sunday football. Especially with tits who say, I sent someone off today and was jubilant about it.

Several people kept promising to call me back and never did. I got so fed up with feeling like I was being a pain I gave up. And they wonder why numbers are so low. I am now doing a different job, if they'd had got their act together I'd be reffing by now.

Ford Super Sunday Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Refs deserve respect when they have EARNT it. Stuart Atwell doesn't deserve respect, becuase he hasnt been as good as he should be at the highest level (or any level in fact, no club should suffer that kind of incompetence) But established refs deserve some respect. I still remember Paul Derkin doing an interview after a Man U-Newcastle game, when shearer should have had a penalty, he actually apologised and said he got it wrong. He didnt crawl under a rock and hide behind the FA. The ref on saturday didnt deserve respect (almost letting millwall run with the ball in their hands he missed so many handballs by them) but at the same time, does he deserve the abuse that he got from the millwall thugs? and if any coins were thrown, does he deserve that? Of course he doesnt, and no-one deserves to be treated like at in the workplace, but that doesnt mean players and fans can accept a wrong decision and get on with it. I hate it when players surround the referee, but at the same time, I know that if the decision is wrong, they are probably right to do so. It is decisions like Vidic on saturday, and the players surrounding the referee then. It was clearly a re card, so there should be no appealing. (perfect world eh?) Refs eh... cant live with em, cant play football without em.
CosbehFox Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 I get increasingly peed off with them when it looks like they really don't wanna be there. They get for paid for it but the numbers of blokes I've encountered who aren't watching or can't be bothered to keep up the pace is incredible. I do have respect for ref's who conduct themselves in the right manner but sadly there isn't many of them.
