is it actually any good? when it came out, when i was a kid, i could never get into it. my mate on the other hand, loved it

i can't remember, i missed out on it when i was a kid, but that video game style car chase made me want to see it so much, which i finally managed to do much much older, i seem to remember enjoying it but it's been a while now.

juno - hmm - first time i saw it i didn't rate it as i found the dialogue too staged and unnatural, but i watched it again and i loved it...

...alexei, have you watched E.T. recently, i had to watch it a couple of years back (for my degree ) and discovered that the dvd version is very different, ie the agents at the start don't have guns and stuff - naturally i sourced and purchased the original VHS

I'm going down Blockbuster in 15 minutes. I want to see a film as good as Stranger Than Fiction which I watched last night. I don't want a critical review of that film, I just want to know of any similar films. Quirky comedies that make you think. Like Being John Malkovich (which I really liked) or Eternal Sunshine... (which I didn't really like that much but that sort of thing) or even Punch Drunk Love which I thought was good.

I don't really watch films that often.

Time is ticking.

And obviously it has to be the sort of thing that Blockbuster will have.

have you seen a film called 'raining stones' i think it's a ken loach movie? can't imagin blockbuster will carry it though... it came out at the same time as mike leigh's naked (awesome, funny, but not exactly laugh-a-minute), but this is much more honest and i think more humourous... have you watched much mike leigh stuff? if not get 'life is sweet' which i remember being very funny....

Brick is fantastic. Excellent film. Brothers Bloom's out end of May i think and i shall be first in line.

Brick isn't fantastic. It's immensely overrated and far too pretentious student chic. Immensely disappointing, could have been brilliant.

The WAnderson shout was a fair one, though. I love the Life Aquatic.
