Munzie Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 I've just watched the interview on World with Andy King (preparing for this weekend's double header). He's being interviewed at the side of the pitch. In the background you can clearly see a set of rugby posts () where our goal should be. Also, some rugby style painted lines have appeared on our hallowed turf. What's going on? I know they're using it after our last home game of the season. Is this a trial run of what the pitch will look like or is it being used this weekend? Can anyone shed some light on this?
john_lcfc Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 Makes me sick we let them do this when we have a potentially promotion deciding game on the Monday.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 They are playing Bath in the european cup QF on saturday Kick off 6pm

Munzie Posted 9 April 2009 Author Posted 9 April 2009 They are playing Bath in the european cup QF on saturdayKick off 6pm Not that I follow rugby but that bit of news completely missed me. Great. Not only will they churn the pitch to pieces but it's a late kick-off (can't see the grounds staff getting much done after the game), it's forecast to p*ss down all day Sunday (hampering repairs) and we have an ealry kick-off on Monday. Fanfcukingtastic! What's wrong with their sodding ground?
Matt Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 The fooking Tigers couldn't arrange or plan dates right about ripping their old stand down, thus having to us our ground for their last 2 games of the season. So, They mess our pitch up by playing on it 2 days before we play a pretty important match on our pitch, AND we have to move our last home game of the season to cater for them so they can play their last game on our pitch on the Saturday. Really, How hard could it have been to plan ripping their old stand down after their last 2 games of their season? I suppose i'm being abit nieve maybe blaming the planning and timing of it all - I guess there is more to it than just a mix up/bad planning, but what are talking 2 weeks? Surely 2 weeks wouldn't have put it that far behind schedule? Your not telling me their old stand needs to be ripped down NOW or else it wouldn't be finished by the time their new season comes round?! Besides if I was a Tigers fan (If someone asked me who I supported in rugby - I'd say Tigers, but I mean a fan as in care about the club and go to games) I would want them to see the season out in the 'old' stand rather than finishing the season 2 games earlier and having to use the Walkers Stadium.

What's wrong with their sodding ground? For once I think this could work in our favour. Don't forget Leeds are playing on the same pitch as us. From what ive seen and heard, leeds play predomintly on the ground and of late we have been using a hoof ball tactic. The pitch could be our 12th man.
carterfox90 Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 just what i thought we play hoof ball most of the game so where's the problem................................but seriously what is going on does milan need the money that bad he's willing to feck the last few games up at our place
Legend_in_blue Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 The pitch was in pretty much perfect condition against Carlisle. The opposition passed it around quite well. This will work in our favour.
Milky Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 You make it sound like rugby players have ploughs on their feet.
lou Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 My Dads a S/T holder at the Tigers (I must be adopted) and by all accounts theyre not very happy about it either. God knows why they didnt do this in the Summer..... I hope the clubs getting paid plenty of money for this. Might buy us a mid-fielder!!
Edmund Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 You make it sound like rugby players have ploughs on their feet. Its just the scrums and constant rucks which tends to dig the ground up. My Dads a S/T holder at the Tigers (I must be adopted) and by all accounts theyre not very happy about it either. There not happy because they lost to Bath last time they played each other at the Walkers.
Matt Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 I hope no Tigers fan uses on of those pathetic seat cushion things on my seat! Whats up with the Tigers fans? Have they all got piles or something. ...I've noticed we have started selling them aswell, I don't think many people have bought one though, but most Tigers fans I see walking to their games have one of these seat cushion this
Edmund Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 I hope no Tigers fan uses on of those pathetic seat cushion things on my seat! Nothing wrong with a seat cushion

At MK Dons  ******
Guest Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 My Dads a S/T holder at the Tigers (I must be adopted) and by all accounts theyre not very happy about it either. True story - I work(ed) with some Tiggers STHs, and they are all pissed off about it. Especially the ones who sit in the stand that's being replaced, as they want the last game of the season in their old seats, not at the WS. There not happy because they lost to Bath last time they played each other at the Walkers. See above.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 But.... the seats were already padded... That must have been one horrific case of piles... i wonder if the bunch of grape sized bluge coming out of their backside was visible?

I actually hate the thought of an egg chaser sitting in MY SEAT! They irritate me so much, always looking down their noses at football, they all wear caps and wax jackets and the atmosphere at their games is non existant. My Dad used to made me go as a kid and they dont sing or anything apart from stamping their feet and chanting " Tiiigggerrs" for about ten seconds. Why do their players have to have COMPLETE FECKIN SILENCE before they can kick a ball ffs??? Ridiculous! <_<
Guest Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 I hope we get to see a female streaker this time. Does Daggers ripping off a fairy costume count?

As for their caps and wax jackets, Along with seeing the Tigers fans with the seat cushions alot of Tigers fans i've seen wear these cowboy type hats...What is that about? + So they are wannabe Cowboys and have piles.
