Egg-chasers in for Easter?

Starting to get extremely pissed off with the tigers now, but it's our own club I'm most angry with. They like to present our relationship with the tigers as mutually harmonious, but that's not the case at all. I can't think of one single thing the tigers have ever done to help out leicester city, and the odious tits who run our club have consistently bent over backwards to help the egg-chasers, almost always at the expense of our own fans. It's not our fault they've decided to redevelop their stadium during a season when they know full well they hope to challenge for in every competition. I honestly couldn't give a shit about leaving them in the lurch - and I've got a real problem with the fact that to the outside sporting public, it looks as if we don't even have priority at our own bloody ground.

'Why are leicester playing on friday night?' 'Oh, i think the tigers are playing'

I mean how embarassing is that? :@ And i'm glad that most tigers fans are unhappy about the arrangement, although hopefully they'll have the sense to blame their own set of morons in the boardroom, although by the look of the ones i see around welford road, it's not likely. In fact i hope they lose against whoever they're playing, have a bloody miserable time in our shitty soulless shell of a stadium, get on with building their own stadium and then fork off for good...

Ive never met anyone with a problem with this until I came on to this forum. Seems strange to me people feel so strongly about this.

Also wearing tigers shirts at city games seems to makes people blood boil.

Are they the new Nottingham Forest?

lol

I cant speak for everyone but Ive found that the rugby lot really really look down on us City fans. (and football in general) Have a load of em at work and they are generally complete tossers.

Whilst I think we should celebrate our local teams success (and I used to) I now find myself unable to, due to years of being goaded and slagged off by bloody Tigers fans (including my own family members). They are so condescending its not true. I got told the other day I was a "twat" for paying to watch "that pile of shite", it would be interesting to see how many fans they lost if they had a bad season.

In general, I have found the same. The Swan & Rushes on a matchday when we're both at home is erm.......interesting.

However, I have a knack of finding individual Tiggers fans who genuinely want City to do well, this includes a Tiggers fan from Erdington, with no connection with Leicester at all!!

If the Tigers ever got relegated to the third tier of their league, their support would not be measured in thousands, but in dozens.

However, on Saturday they will fill the Way, which is more than we've been able to do this season. And when their new stand is built next season. their crowds will probably overtake ours, which means we can expect many more Friday night and Sunday matches from now on.

I hope that Mandaric is charging them a fair rate for hiring the stadium, but if he wants to lease it out to them, that's his decision.

:) I saw a woman with a city seat cushion at the Carlisle game.... nearly asked her if she was at the wrong ground.

I actually hate the thought of an egg chaser sitting in MY SEAT! They irritate me so much, always looking down their noses at football, they all wear caps and wax jackets and the atmosphere at their games is non existant. My Dad used to made me go as a kid and they dont sing or anything apart from stamping their feet and chanting " Tiiigggerrs" for about ten seconds. Why do their players have to have COMPLETE FECKIN SILENCE before they can kick a ball ffs??? Ridiculous! <_<

They didn't get it at the Varsity game I can tell you. They actually got the Woaaaaaaaaaah TWAT! With every kick. Poor stewards looked confused........

Not really, It shouldn't make that much difference, I'm sure this has been discussed already. We are the ones that when there is a clash of fixture we always seem to have to move to cater for and go out our way to change our games for the Tigers - Whether it affects KO times or days and dates, but on a whole it is normally rectified, Those fixture changes although annoying when we do have to move don't happen that many times throughout the season because fixture clashes and both teams playing at home on the same day's and times are pretty rare, It shouldn't really change that much.

An assertion unsupported by fact.

They've moved kickoff times (and often dates as well) far more often than us when there have been fixture clashes. However TV companies have had an influence on this , as they show many more Tigers games than ours.

Until and unless Premier Rugby and the tinpot league are forced into some kind of arrangement, these clashes will continue to occur on a regular basis, and the routines of both sets of fans will continue to suffer disruption.

You're not wrong there. Luckily I was surrounded by like-minded and similarly crazed students. I bet Welford Road has never known such noise.

The fooking Tigers couldn't arrange or plan dates right about ripping their old stand down, thus having to us our ground for their last 2 games of the season.

Hold on, Tigers haven't arrange when Rugby Europe and Guinness Premiership have decided to play the quarter-finals of their cup and the play-off semi-finals. If Tigers have such an issue or City, both authorities could switch the location of the ties.

I don't see a probelm when it means our schedule is uninterrupted but as the Scunny, it's a tad pissy to say the least.

If they mess up the pitch they should pay for it to be redone at the end of the season , i actually sometimes like watching tigers just sometimes though , they were shit all last season but this season there alot better

Good luck to them on Saturday , Tuilagi is a **** beast

Have you given any thought to what you're trying to say there, and where you're posting it at? :o

It isn't as if we were worldbeaters last season, is it?

That "shit" team actually reached two cup finals. If only City could sink to such a level..

I can't believe everyone still moans about 'them egg-chasers messing up our pitch'.

It's April, there will be minimal effect on the pitch, if any. The only evidence of a Rugby game having been played will be the green paint over the white lines.

By my reckoning, there have been 4 or 5 rugger matches played at the Walkers, I don't think one has had a detrimental effect on the pitch, except that stupid World XV game last December, which had nothing to do with Tigers, probably didn't help.

The pitch argument is retarded.

1. We have professional groundsmen, they can repair any light damage to the pitch. Watford and Wycombe mysteriously manage to share their ground all season without hampering the pitch too much.

2. We play fucking hoof ball.

I'm sure LCFC will have negotiated use of Tigers groundsmen to help us repair any damage. There is no way MM will have put the pitch in jeopardy or us at a disadvantage for the Leeds game in return for a few bob from the Tigers.
