Leeds player we could buy in summer?

I'm from Blackburn.

So why do you support Leeds, then , and not any of your local teams?

They have the loudest fans... that's all that matters apparently.

I come from a family of Leeds fans. The whole of my dads side are Leeds fans and it got passed on to me. I dont really hold any pride towards Blackburn, or infact, the vast majority of Lancashire, as I do not like the county. I support Leeds because of the family connections, I felt drawn to Leeds rather than Blackburn. I do understand the idea of wanting your local side to do well. I live in a small town with a team in the Unibond First Division, and go to quite a few of their games over the season. Thats as far as it goes for me though.

Sorry about that, Leeds fan and from Blackburn... some people get all the luck

Sorry for you as well, hope you kept hold of your programme from your League Cup wins though. GLORY DAYS.

Did you keep the programme from your play off final loss? ;)

From yesterday's performance:

Ankergren: Kept them in the match, the best player on the day and the only one I would take now

Douglas: Made to look like a fourth division player, hopeless

Naylor: Competent, but not as good as our first choice pairing

Sodje: Very good match yesterday but I'd still stick with our two thanks, plus he's only a loanee anyway

Parker: Couldn't cope on his own, again pretty basement league stuff

Snodgrass: Brought little else but attitude to the party, I wouldn't want a willy puller like him at my club

Howson & Kilkenny: Dwarfed by an OAP and a teenager - they wouldn't make our reserve side on yesterday's showing

Delph: Nice feet and a good brain takes him to the Premiership in the summer, upon which he'll be sent out on loan because he appeared to lack any pace

Becchio: All hair and trousers, loves himself more than his ability says he has a right too. Laughably bested by our back two. No thanks.

Robinson: Pace, talent and a desire to do something - visibly changed their game when he came on but was surrounded by second-rate players.

Dickinson: Do they actually pay this bloke? Seriously? If they do then he really ought to be sent back to Derbeh

The other two made absolutely no impression on the game when they came on.

When the pressure was on yesterday - they choked and lost. I'm looking forward to the play-offs because they'll do it again, it's in their mindset.

A little funny, as a couple of Leicester fans have told me they'd love Snoddy at your club. Then again, that was before a below average performance from him yesterday, and also helped from the fact that they've seen numerous performances by him. In any case, he shalln't be sold if we stay down, as the departures of Beckford and Delph would make him and Howson the key players in our team, and the players that next seasons 11 would be built around.

To be honest mate you may have no choice. Better team in a better league. Players have ambitions mate, they don't want to be stuck in a league 1 side when he could be having a run for the premiership....

It's a conspiracy though Daggers... the FA, the BBC, SKY TV, Jesus Christ, Referees & opposition teams do everything in their power to scupper things for them. It's absolutely nothing to do with them not actually being good enough, everyone can see none of our players would get in their team.

From yesterday's performance:

Ankergren: Kept them in the match, the best player on the day and the only one I would take now A quality keeper when confident. You should see him when he's not though >_<

Douglas: Made to look like a fourth division player, hopeless Well, he is a central midfielder up against one of the best individual performances i've seen all season. You work it out.

Naylor: Competent, but not as good as our first choice pairing IMO, just as good, but okay.

Sodje: Very good match yesterday but I'd still stick with our two thanks, plus he's only a loanee anyway I think he'll be our first signing of the summer. Three games in and he's already doing the Leeds salute as well as tried to petition for us to be back in the Premier League. Somehow thinks he's Maradonna.

Parker: Couldn't cope on his own, again pretty basement league stuff Totally disagree here, as have a few others on this very thread. Not our first choice LB anyway, so I guess thats okay.

Snodgrass: Brought little else but attitude to the party, I wouldn't want a willy puller like him at my club willy puller? What?

Howson & Kilkenny: Dwarfed by an OAP and a teenager - they wouldn't make our reserve side on yesterday's showing Shame they didnt perform like they have done in recent weeks. Itl seem like i'm being defensive, but really, theyve been fantastic prior to Monday.

Delph: Nice feet and a good brain takes him to the Premiership in the summer, upon which he'll be sent out on loan because he appeared to lack any pace Will move to the Prem if we dont go up, simple.

Becchio: All hair and trousers, loves himself more than his ability says he has a right too. Laughably bested by our back two. No thanks. Again, poor judgement, although you are judging on one game. If you'd watched him all season, you'd understand why Championship clubs, and even Middlesborough, are sniffing around.

Robinson: Pace, talent and a desire to do something - visibly changed their game when he came on but was surrounded by second-rate players. Totally different player to when he started out. Him winning League One Player of the Year last season was the worst thing that could happen to him. He felt he could do anything he ever wanted and not try from that point. He now understands, and will play the next two games due to Delphs suspension.

Dickinson: Do they actually pay this bloke? Seriously? If they do then he really ought to be sent back to Derbeh Worst player ever to represent Leeds? Possibly.

The other two made absolutely no impression on the game when they came on. Mainly 'cos Hughesy's crap and 'cos Grella had 4 minutes on the pitch.

When the pressure was on yesterday - they choked and lost. I'm looking forward to the play-offs because they'll do it again, it's in their mindset. Again, based on one game. They didnt choke against MK Dons, Peterborough, S****horpe, Millwall, Southend etc. We'll be playing these teams in the playoffs, if you'd forgotten. Its all a lottery anyway, as Leeds bloody well know :(

To be fair I think Leeds will be a different team with Beckford.

The frontpair didn't have enough impact for them to be a real threat yesterday.

Thought that Brown played Beccio very well.

Think if they get Millwall they might struggle after yesterdays game against Peterborough.

Dickinson was poor yesterday, but not quite in the Roque Junior category.

They didn't choke against MK Dons, Peterborough, Millwall, etc

The Leeds results at those venues suggest otherwise. And you can add Tranmere into the mix too.

You have the ability to win the playoffs. But the same was true in 06 and 08..

For what it's worth, Grayson's experience with us and Blackpool will probably see you OK.

In our defence, Macca was incharge. Had Grayson implemented what he has done right now then, I would expect totally different results. Its sad to think that if Grayson had been in charge throughout the campaign, we'd probably be second now, and you'd already be promoted.

I don't see it for Leeds, even taking my hatred of the club into account I still, from what I've seen of everyone this season, fancy the others to turf Leeds over before it even gets to Wembley.

And another season in the Div.III is going to really, really hurt them.

Very true, although with Grayson, i'm expecting something good to follow on.

Very true. Dickinson is poor, and Becchio has become too comfortable playing alongside Beckford. With him, he's great, without him, he's a little lost.

Thought that Brown played Beccio very well.

Read above. Brown played well.

I think Millwall will be craving second place too much, and should they fail, itll hit them hard. Still hoping for MK Dons in the semis though, as they've been awful recently, and we totally outclassed them in March.

If you are actually interested (which I highly doubt) i'd look at highlights of Millwall vs Peterborough, Leeds vs Millwall, Leeds vs MK Dons, Leeds vs Oldham, Cheltenham vs Tranmere, Leeds vs Peterborough, Leeds vs Hereford and Leeds vs S****horpe. All these games give you pretty much an account of how the potential playoff teams can play brilliantly and awfully at the same time. However, having come off 8 win in the last 12 games, and having played every team above us since the turn of the year (with only you getting something from us - thanks BTW!) i'm confident for the playoffs. Especially at home, 9 wins at ER on the trot now, it's turning into a fortress again!

Think you'll win the play-offs Tony Dorigo to be fair.

Think Peterborough will fluff it. Millwall 2nd

You'll beat MK Dons then Peterborough.

Like has been said before if you don't go up you'll still have Grayson what ever happens (we got Pearson and thats why

we've done well IMO)

Must say the most positive thing for me from this game outside promotion is that the banter has been good with Leeds fans.

Didn't get the mindless idiots spoiling it with idiotic chants (on both sides), and (yourself included) had some decent

discussion with Leeds fans.

Hopefully it signals a return to a 'friendly' rivalry between the clubs. :fc:
