gonzo Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I wouldn't worry about Forest over Saints. Having been to St Marys quite a few times this season, I think it's fairly safe to say we haven't got a hope in hell of staying up!
act smiley Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Is this like the most friendly forum ever of what? Is it wrong to want another win as epic as Forest away last season? It was pretty sexual, and that was only the League Cup!
lcfc_jme Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I wouldn't worry about Forest over Saints. Having been to St Marys quite a few times this season, I think it's fairly safe to say we haven't got a hope in hell of staying up! It's nothing against the club or the fans, it's the fact that I went there last season on a Tuesday night and was ejected for doing what the majority of the home supporters were doing. And that your stewards are c*nts. Oh, and we never win there.. Sure you'll do fine next season, though I suppose at the minute relegation is playing 2nd fiddle to speculation surrounding the club's future?
Maybes Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Cheers pal,had a Forest fan with us in Southend and to be fair he loved it, sang with us, and even wore a city shirt (briefly!!) Hope you stay up.. What the f**k.
Fox in a Box Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I hope forest go down mate, and never come back.
Rocky Dennis Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 What the f**k. Came for the piss-up primarily but enjoyed the match too. Enough hatred in this world already without petty football rivalries, saying that I fooooooooookin hate Leeds!!

Most of the stewards are ok, they just put the headcases near the away fans!! And yes, league one is far preferable to the other alternative (which involves becoming a Basingstoke supporter - even if SFC ceases to exist, there's no way I'm supporting that lot at farton park).
act smiley Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I live in fear of the nightmarish teeth of the woman who works in the burger van there - its certainly not a good plan b to have. But anyway, good luck.
leicesterseddon Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 the only good thing to have come out of nottingham is nigel pearson... nah cheers, looking forward to it next year
The Stig Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 For me especially with family who support Forest our games against them are always that bit special. I enjoy our games against them, so I hope they stay up. And as for NFFC Chris he's a great addition to this forum and an example of how to post well on an opposition forum.
MC Prussian Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Is this like the most friendly forum ever of what? It's certainly a nicer sight after all that "doom and gloom" one year ago...!
Saint_J Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Thanks mate, hope you stay up and southampton go down. . Forest to stay up and Southampton to go down hopefully. Forest staying up really wouldn't bother me seeing as I'm living in Nottingham and this would be on my door-step next season. If I had to choose between relegating Forest and Southampton, I'd choose the St Mary's bunch every time. Saints Fan here - I came on to congratulate you guys on winning your promotion (even though I see on this tread that SFC aren't particular liked, which I guess after last season is understandable). I hope you guys do well next year/in the future, and I think you guys will under Pearson - he's a top bloke I wouldn't worry about Forest over Saints. Having been to St Marys quite a few times this season, I think it's fairly safe to say we haven't got a hope in hell of staying up! I'm so sorry that you've had to watch some of the cr*p on show at SMS this season - but one question why did you go a few times? - surely watch that sh*te once would have been more that enough to put your off returning!

Well, I've been four times this season (would've been more but for money!). The first two were the shockers against Blackpool and Watford, so I nearly didn't bother again. But the two more recent ones were the ones against Cardiff and Crystal Palace, which were both wins and decent performances to boot. But anyway, it doesn't matter now. Saints are fooked for this season. Good luck to the Foxes for next season.
C-man Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I wouldn't say that you aren't liked by any of our fans, you're definitely not hated. I just don't think any of our fans want another trip to St. Mary's where I don't think we've ever registered a shot on target, and we know we can pick up 6 pts from Forest

I actually hate the St Mary's Ive been twice and its been awful twice.

So you deprived one of the hundreds of city fans who hve followed us home and away this season but couldnt get a ticket for southend so your **** trees mate could go on the piss? Yeah nice one mate. Thats exactly the kind of shit we need. You sorting out some cov and derby for carlisle?

I just don't think any of our fans want another trip to St. Mary's where I don't think we've ever registered a shot on target, and we know we can pick up 6 pts from Forest yeah, this is the main reason. Plus we hate your stewards! Thats exactly the kind of shit we need. You sorting out some cov and derby for carlisle? Come of it. The tickets only sold out after we beat Leeds and had the chance to secure promotion. All the season ticket holders had a chance and General Sale could have sorted it out on the Friday and Saturday. I dare say if we hadn't beaten Leeds it wouldn't have sold out. Any one of the "hundreds of city fans who have followed us home and away this season" have only themselves to blame if they didn't get a ticket.
Dezzee Rascal Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Can I add my hearty congratulations as a Wednesday fan? I look forward to another trip to the Walkers - always a good day out, win, lose or draw(although you lot probably didn't enjoy our last couple of visits...) Big Nige remains a popular figure amongst us Owls who remember his exploits (including lifting a cup for Wednesday for the first time in nearly 60 years!) I think a lot of us would've liked to have seen him back at the club as manager at some point. Kudos to Mandaric for finally picking the right man for you and good luck for next season. Having seen Soton at S6 on Saturday, I've no doubt that you'll be spared a trip to St Mary's next season - woeful doesn't come close to describing their performance.
Ultra Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Would like to see the Trees stay up with Posh and MK Dons going up - with those three, Derby, Cov and us in the Championship it would be a local derby every other week. It could be fun for a season (until we go up again, of course!). Not thrilled about the chances of Franchise going up. But West Brom's relegation from the PL means even more local derbies..
NFFC Chris Posted 20 April 2009 Author Posted 20 April 2009 Yeah it could potentially be a lot of fun next year.Us,yourselves,Coventry,D*rby,West Brom, Petoborough, Sheffiled United, possibly Newcastle and Leeds in the same division as well. Shame Wolves and Birmingham are heading up as well. Never wish to play the Franchise again though

Sheffield Wednesday Is it true that Hillsborough is going to undergo some redevelopment over the summer, and the away fans could be chucked in the corner between the Leppings Lane end and the old cantilever stand?
Dezzee Rascal Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 "Some redevelopment" might be a bit strong, but yes, the intention is to repair the North West Corner and stick some additional turnstiles in with a view to putting some of the smaller away supports in there. I guess you'd bring enough to get either the top tier or bottom tier so I wouldn't worry. I've heard from a good source that we intend giving our smelly neighbours just the corner though, as payback for the last two years when we've given them nearly 8,000 tickets at Hillsborough only for them to give us 3,000 at The Sty - seated below their fans too. If you've been in Sheffield for any length of time, you'll know there was a bit of trouble with their idiots raining stuff down on the Wednesday fans below (I'll leave it to your imagination what kinds of stuff but it wasn't pleasant)
The Doctor Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 hope forest stay up for two reasons 1. southampton and norwich will probably go down if forest stay up and they've got some good players we could take for our play-off push next season. 2. last time forest were in the same league as us they got relegated but we didn't send them down I want to play them last home game of the season next year to send them down ourselves.

I'm fairly certain the "fixtures computer" would have something to say about that.
