Orkneyfox Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 At the beginning of the season I put £5 at 8:1 on Leicester to win league one. When I find my betting slip I'll be rich! How much did you win and how much of it would you put back on a Leicester top 6 finish next year?

Dan Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Haha nice one My Dads mate last season put £20 on Blackpool to beat us, Palace to win away at Southampton and Watford to win away at Wolves on the first day of the season, bet he was chuffed with his £850. + I'd love to know how much my mum would win when next season she puts £10 on us to win the Championship with Fryatt top scorer
clazkel Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 2 of us put on £20 (£10 each) at 9/2 for Leic to win the league, and we collected the £110 today. We were gutted when we put it on as originally it was 6/1 in ladbrokes and we went in at 130pm on the way to the MK Dons game to put the bet on and because the Leeds game had already kicked off we couldnt put the bet on, or we could but the price had gone down. Then we went in Mon and put it on and only got 9/2 after we had beat MK Dons. Also gutted i didn't put £10 on Fryatt to be league 1 top scorer as that was 33/1 before the season started, but i went to put it on on the Monday and the price had gone right down, so i didnt bother.
Collymore Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I had £15 on us winning the league and i've got £5 still riding on Fryatt at 33/1 - Still need Lambert to stop scoring though.

Edmund Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I wish I had put a bet on. Came so close so many times. Im always to impatient for these type of bets. Having to wait the whole season to see my returns.
Dan Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Beckford's top now, no? No Lambert - 27 Fryatt - 26 Beckford - 25 Cox - 25
Milky Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 How much did people lose with a late bet on Peterborough?
Guest Bilo Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Had us in a £1 Lucky 15 with Man United to win the Premiership, Reading to win the Championship and Bradford to win League Two. Won't win much but intend to have a cheeky few quid on us to make the play-offs next season. EDIT: Incidentally, next season's Lucky 15 will look like this. PREMIER: Liverpool CHAMP: Reading/Sheff. United LG ONE: Leeds/Huddersfield LG TWO: Bradford May even stretch to an each way Lucky 31 and throw Wimbledon into the BSP mix.
clazkel Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Beckford's top now, no? Beckford is top if you count all competition but if its just the league then Lambert is top with 27 goals
Guest Bilo Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Beckford is top if you count all competition but if its just the league then Lambert is top with 27 goals For settling purposes, they'll only count the goals scored in League One competition and not FA Cup/JPT etc. So Fryatt still has a decent shout of coming good in that market.
Head Honcho Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Thanks for reminding me I have a winning slip somewhere-not sure how much or what price I got though Just found it £20 at 5/1 and £10 at 18/1 for us to win the handicap betting we had a 5 point start on that but don't know what other teams had
Mickey O'Neil Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Someone at work won £140 off a Lids fan He's going double or quits that Lids won't go up this year. I'd take the £££ and run if it were me. I didn't bother as I thought/was hoping we might end up between 4th & 6th this year. Champi-ones
hairy Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 I lost £10 because we won the League. I had us in the play-offs.
