Granno Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 They're having a open top bus tour of the city on Monday following their promotion to the Championship...Shouldn't we be having one? or is it a case of forgetting about this season as quick as possible? I think this has already been discussed. Great achievement yes. Bus tour worthy? No deal Noel. Here
Raj Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 We are so MASSIVE that even if we won the Fa Cup,Champions League,Coca Cola Cup, World Trophy Cup thing,we STILL wouldnt have an open top bus tour thing. WE ARE MASSIVE!!!

AyewJoking Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Second place is world cup-esqe for them, especially as its their second consecutive promotion. Our lads should get a pat on the back for steering a sinking ship back in the right direction but nothing more.
Koke Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Us getting an open bus tour for getting out of League 1? That's embarrassing. This is World Cup esque for Peterborough. Getting into the 2nd tier is a massive success for them. Our players should get a pad on the back and few applauses for doing their job and getting us back on track.
Aberdeen_fox Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Aye, it's a big deal for them but not something we should be getting all excited about, as well as we've done this season.
ACF Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Link From the link above^^^^ But, amid the euphoria of Leicester City's triumphant return to the Championship, I hear the club have no plans for an open-top bus parade. Good decision! Celebrations on such a grandiose scale should be reserved for the pinnacle of achievement. That is not to demean, or belittle, City's success in becoming the first club for 10 years to secure instant promotion after being relegated to football's third tier. And going up as League One champions was the icing on cake.
Darkzzz_ Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 I wouldn't want this to happen so I am pleased that sense has prevailed.
MarkDeVries Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 I said in another thread that winning the thing was great but lets not crow about it. Just win it, get out of this poxy league and forget we were here and I got people saying that I can't have been to many games because this season was fantastic. That missed my point a bit because I don't want to dwell on being in the third tier, just look forward to being back in the second and a bus tour wouldn't be much good for that. Totally agree
