leftsideoverhere Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Stockdale 7 - reliable. Morrison 7 - looking good at RB. Hobbs 8 - his permanent signing looks better and better. Brown 7 - neck muscles of steel. Mattock 6 - looked better, but then it was Crewe. Oakley 7 - organised, solid, impressive performance. Berner 7 - probably a bit lucky with the goalkeeper diving over his shot, but he earned it. King 7 - won loads of loose balls, good tackling too. Dyer 8 - MOTM. Created mayhem whenever he had the ball. Nice touch to score. Fryatt 7 - how can a striker with 30-plus goals look low in confidence? Howard 7 - unlucky in first half not to have scored. Gradel 6 - didn't look his usual self, I thought. Astrit 7 - less 'fancy' stuff, and therefore fewer mistakes. Adams 7 - looked purposeful, despite the game being over when he came on.
lcfc_jme Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Stockdale - 7 Morrison - 8 Jaaaaack - 7 Waynnee - 7 Mattock - 6 Mowgli - 7 KING - 7 Berner - 7 Lloyd - 6 (is it seriously just me who thought he was average on the ball? He's WAY too predictable - always goes outside on his left after slowing down - and doesn't use his pace to the devastating effect he should do.) Fryatt - 6 (again with God Boy, he takes FAR too many touches and wastes valuable time instead of being more instinctive) Big Steve - 7 (mostly for flashing the abs, but also because he was always in goalscoring positions. Will have to take these chances next season) Subs: Gradel - 6 (can't cross for shit in games, it seems) Astrit - 7 Adams - 6
Thracian Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Stockdale 7 (Competetent game and his distribution was thoughtful) Morrison 7 (Impressed by the willingness he showed to get forward for a big lad) Hobbs 7 (If he keeps improving his groundwork the guy could be immense. Very dominant in the air). Brown 7 (His organisational capabilities were to the fore). Mattock 5.5 (Poor start but some better things later. Needs to impose himself more and that will be a major target for next season if he's to progress). Oakley 7 (Ensured that everyone put their stint in and played his own part with enthuisiasm). Berner 6 (Welcome and well taken goal. Still falls short though of having the impact I expect) King 7 (Cameo of his season. Always around to break up opposition atttacks, start our own and to help them continue. One run and pull back deserved a goal) Dyer 7.5 (Man of the match again for me - and another goal to provide the perfect ending to a decent season). Fryatt 7 (Worked hard, decent goal, well done Matty) Howard 7 (Too much for Crewe to cope with. Might well have added to his goals tally) Gradel 7 (Two or three really dangerous balls across the Crewe goal should have found a waiting foot. His defensive improvement has made him a much more useful all-round player. Hundred per cent effort and now looks a worthy member of the squad). Astrit 6 (Surprised me with his work rate. At least showed some idea and some promise. Needs to improve his effectiveness and decision-making).

General Smuts Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Gradel 7 (Two or three really dangerous balls across the Crewe goal should have found a waiting foot. Where you watching the same game as me? He's fooking terrible at crossing. The only player worse at crossing a football was Jamie Clapham.

He's fooking terrible at crossing. The only player worse at crossing a football was Jamie Clapham. Seems to me you only count crosses that are six feet in the air. And what a waste they are most of the time. For a start we've no-one who can really jump for them and our biggest player, Howard, is rarely into the box quick enough anyway despite his other qualities. The low crosses should have been goals - and than goes for Kingy's pull-back too. But we just don't have a predatory finisher and the only guy on the books who's sharp enough to take advantage has been sub-contracted out to Blackpool. Saturday wasn't the only time the problem has been apparent either.

These supposedly dangerous low crosses that the holy one is whipping in - prey tell how many of the ****ers beat the first defender on Saturday? I'll tell you how many cos i was counting. I had a tally going and everything. The number? The same amount of sensible posts you've made in this thread. 0.

In the 2nd half when he was attacking directly in front of us he got at least 2 or 3 past the 1st man and into the box. Oh and by the way I'm a nice fella and I've already been to specsavers

General Smuts Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Maybe you can't count? I was using my fingers. And im not from Coalville. I have fingers. I just didn't need them.

General Smuts Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 I wish Max Gradel was even half the player Chris Powell is.
davieG Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 Honestly i was counting because i was watching his crossing so carefully. It was 0.He's fooking terrible at crossing. I'd imagine you were too pissed to count past 0
General Smuts Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 I'd imagine you were too pissed to count past 0 I'd had a few but not enough to think Max Gradel was any good at crossing.
