Finnegan Posted 15 May 2009 Author Posted 15 May 2009 Yeah what you need to do is uninstall it, download and run this and then re-download MSN Messenger and install it. It sounds a lot of work for something you might not use that much but if there's a virus / spyware in your MSN who knows what else it might have effected on your computer?
Finnegan Posted 16 May 2009 Author Posted 16 May 2009 I had full confidence in AVG until I recently got bombarded with Trojans for the second time with this laptop under their protection. They finally identified the problem but were unable to get rid of it. So, at the recommendation of my nerd friend I switched to avast! for prevention and Spybob S&D for scanning for problems I already have. Spybot utterly pwned my virus problem in less than an hour after my laptop got utterly eaten alive by trojans.
