lildave3 Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 I didn't really enjoy last time that much, it was all just a massive blur for me seeing as I got back from France about 2 hours earlier
Flynny Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Were you yellows? I'm sure I thought you were going to win pre-tournament but I think you were the only team we beat in the end. I know me and Masters netted in a 2 - 1 win that saw us avoid last place. Same teams? I was fucking terrible even by my standards last time. I really don't like astroturf. Definitely buying better footwear this time instead of bringing my 'with jeans' trainers like last time.

Flynny (provided I'm actually in Leicester and buy some actual astroturf boots so i don't slide around like a poorly equipped, ill-dressed twat again) 40. Skinnydipper (subject to date)
C-man Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 8 teams of 6. 2 subs is too many. 42 would be a good target though. 6 teams of 7 would be the best.
Scow Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Last year's was quality! On paper my team was considered one of the favourites but never lived upto the hype others were broadcating through numerous threads on Foxestalk. We were abit to young and didnt have the experience. But hopefully if we were together again we would comeback stronger than before. First game we kept the eventual winners to a 1-1 draw and was leading up till the end. Bert is still wondering how I kept his powerful drive out. But overall this was a brilliant day and if we could possibly have DavieG organising this again then it would be even better. I'm sorry, I think it was me who held the team back.

I know me and Masters netted in a 2 - 1 win that saw us avoid last place. Yea we were, you beat us 2-1. Still a brilliant day. Best Foxestalk football gathering I have been apart I think. I'm sorry, I think it was me who held the team back. Nah we just didnt have a keeper.
Finnegan Posted 9 May 2009 Author Posted 9 May 2009 At this rate we could end up with 2 groups Narh. There'll always be drop-outs, there'll need to be a few reserves for this - more so than for the 11-a-sides where you've got two squads with a decent amount of subs anyway. I doubt we'll get too many more put their names down now, we can cut it off around 42 somewhere. Still a brilliant day. Best Foxestalk football gathering I have been apart I think. Agreed, bud'. Was good fun - the format gave people a chance to sit around and chat a bit more and it was a little less competitive and more relaxed. Surely by now a few more of you can get in the pub afterwards n'all?

Then pick a magic number. Did we get silver last year? I only really remember holding Ched back, flooring LD3 and get fisted and lobbed.
Finnegan Posted 9 May 2009 Author Posted 9 May 2009 I can't wait to get stuck in on a few specific FTers. Experience tells talk like that rarely gets you very far.
lildave3 Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 I can't wait to get stuck in on a few specific FTers. Sure.
Asha Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Sure. I bet you're secretly worried about my strong tackles.
Koke Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 I'm wank at 5 a side but ah well. I'm wank full stop. I haven't played since I fucked my lower back in January. 6-a-side is more competitive than 11-a-side and even the less good players can shine
Uncle Albert Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Yep. Ow sorry have you muscled up abit now? Thats why you didnt sign up last year wasnt it because you were scared you werent big enough. Anyways come down and have a laugh, I dont even go in for tackles on astroturf.

And yeah I'm looking forward to it.

Finnegan Posted 9 May 2009 Author Posted 9 May 2009 But I've grown to like the battling tackles. There's not a lot to Albert's "battling tackles", he couldn't bring you down with an axe.
Cat Burger Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 I can't wait to get stuck in on that troll Nobbo. I know I didn't play last year, but instead of colours may I suggest naming the teams after lesser League 1 teams?Seeing as it's just a bit of fun and all (like League 1 was).

Yeah why not. Sounds like a right laugh to me.
