Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1651758,00.html I think this sort of thing is great for the club, particularly as we have kept hold of our top performers through the youth academy recently - Mattock (harshly treated in some quarters, has not had a bad season), Gradel and King - and they have all played a big part in our success this season. Compare it with a team like Leeds who have lost numerous youngsters before the age of 18 in recent seasons (Taiwo, Woods, Rose and next will be Garbutt who is in the same England team as Parkes but is heading off to Everton). We have got quite a few prospects at this age level, mostly strikers. I remember a few years ago we never seemed to have anyone in squads like these. Keep it up lads.

Parkes is playing, England have just gone 1-0 down, harsh on them, they've actually been playing quite well. Got some talented players too, Bostock, Wilshere, Baxter, Shelvey.

Father Ted Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 How did we do in the end? Lost 4-0. Starting watching towards the end and the England defending was poor tbh. I'm not sure which cb Parkes was, but if he's the one I thought then he likes to take the ball up with his feet and has good vision.
