Blackpool defender Shaun Barker has shrugged off speculation linking him with a possible summer move to one of several Championship clubs.The 26-year-old centre-half, voted players' player of the year at Bloomfield Road, has been linked with Leicester, Derby, Nottingham Forest and former manager Simon Grayson's Leeds. Barker told the Blackpool Gazette: "If you hear other clubs are interested it is nice, a bit of an ego boost for yourself I suppose. "But I've heard nothing about anything more definite, so at the moment it's just speculation. "If you play a few games for a club it's always likely that clubs are going to watch. It's then about whether or not another club takes it a step further, which you never know." Barker added: "A couple of years ago there was speculation about Leeds. I've played another two seasons at Blackpool since and been very happy here and there's no reason why that shouldn't carry on. Ultra Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 What happened to Sheehan? Grayson sent him off to Crewe. Before his injury, there was talk of a permanent deal. Don't know whether that will still happen now that Crewe have gone down. The current Leeds left-back didn't look too clever yesterday, and definitely wouldn't cut it in the Championship.
