Berner, - 7 - Mr Steady

Oakley, - 6.5 ok

Wellens, - 7 looks good, always looks to use the ball

A King, - 6 didn't really notice him too much

Howard, - 7 - wins headers and played others in

N'Guessan. - 5 - Didn't even know why he was there, shockingly ineffective

Subs

O'Neill, - 6.5 looks promising

Adams, - 6.5 great pass near the end that nearly put fryatt in again

Gradel - 6.5 - Seems to be wanting to cross too early now, should be encouraged to beat his man every now and then. Should have scored with a free header with first touch.

Are you saying rate the players based on radio commentary? I don't understand how to do that, if that's what you mean.

But N'Guessan a 2? Doubt it, man.

I'm not on about real radio, couldn't spell vallavoid or whatever it is...

Oh right, thought you meant based on the commentary. I was gonna say man, that's impossible.

Well, I wasn't there, so I can't rate anything, but N'Guessan *sounded* better than a 2.

I would agree with most of that all apart from N'Guessan being 2. Think Wellens looks class. Very impressed with him. And young O'Neill looks a very good prospect and what Weale had to do he did well.

Agree with N'Guesson he has the pass but he needs to work on his finishing

Dont aggree with fryatt could of had a hattrick couldnt remember him having 3 shots.

Gradel should of scored that header just after the break.

lol n guessan 2???? were u even there??? a player who has come from leauge 2 against a defence that delt with messi and co last season??? at the end of the day hes a winger playing out off position, i thought his strength and pace troubled them on occasions! he will be a handfull next year! do you expect him to score 30 goals this year?? come on get behind the lad. apart from that wellens is a quality aqusition he looked a class above the rest of the midfield!!

Weale 7 - did what he had to do with minimum fuss

Morrison 6.5 - as above

Berner 6.5 - as above

Hobbs 6 - same again except gave the ball away in a very dangerous situation, lucky not to be punished

Brown 6.5 - got in the way of a lot

Oakley 7 - impressed with his set pieces

Dyer 6 - average, struggled to beat his man

King 6 - anonymous

Wellens 6.5 - most good but some very loose/lazy passing at times

Howard 7 - worked hard and kept the ball up there better than N'Guessan.

N'Guessan 5.5 - haven't been to the other friendlies but based on that, not a good option as a makeshift striker

---

Fryatt 7.5 - lively and took his goal well

O'Neill 6.5 - impressed with this lad

Adams 7 - very energetic, won the ball back on multiple occasions and distributed it well

Gradel 6.5 - made a difference having him as an outlet on the right, crossing was better than usual

I'd agree with your comments, apart from N'Guessan, i think as 5 is alittle harsh, as he started quite sharp and made afew decent runs. I totally agree with Brown, his positioning is excellent but his distribution was really poor. I thought Adams deserved a 7.5 as i thought the game changed when he come on as he opens play up

Weale - 7.5 - Impressed me, looks very assured, good kick on him, fumbled one shot but apart from that good game.

Morrison - 7 - Don't know what it is with people on here saying he isn't good enough and won't be able to cope in the championship, he is good enough and will become a very good player. Good, solid game.

Hobbs - 6 - Didn't have the best of games, made a mistake or two but didn't do too badly.

Brown - 7 - What you would expect, i'd like to see him and Tunch together at some point.

Berner - 6 - Average game, did nothing spectaclar, nothing dreadful.

Oakley - 6.5 - Got involved when he could made some nice passes.

Wellens - 7.5 - Looks very good, a few people asked me who he was after the game, will be an important player, and I think at £1 mil he could be a bargain.

King - 5.5 - Couldn't get into the game, would replace with Adams for Swansea, i'm not saying I don't rate him btw, he's one of my favourite players and he has a big future ahead of him, just Adams can make something happen.

Dyer - 7 - Good game, took people on, could of crossed abit more early at times though, cause problems.

N'Guessan - 4.5 - Didn't have a good game, but potential is clear in him, hope a can acheive it, was offside a bit.

Howard - 8 - Man of match for me, won everything, good passes/vision. Taken his offside goal very well.

SUBS

Gradel - 7 - Caused problems, put some good balls in, seems to have been working on his crossing.

O'Neil - 7 - Could be 'our next Mattock', looks good.

Adams - 7.5 - Looked lively, thought he was going to start, should start against the swans, seems to improve every time I see him, good game.

Fryatt - 7.5 - Didn't look as rusty as I had expected and took his goal well, I would personally start him against swansea.

Burns - 5.5 - Looks to have potential and looked as though he wanted to get involved, wasn't on long enough to make a real judgement though in all honesty.

First time I've seen Luke O'Neill properly - looked alright! Better than I expected, looks ready to go if need be. Which is good, I missed being right-backs united. Let's get Gilbert back on loan.

this tbh - a fair assessment

Just got in.....

However Howard for me was a 7 nothing wrong nothing special, I must have missed his good play. Spot on with king though - struggled today, gave the ball away 3 times in 10 minutes - the ginger was great, very creative looked like a player with vision, well done Nicky Adams.

Weale - 7 - Did everything you'd want, kicked well too

Morrison - 6 - Not his best position, Oakley bollocked him twice for not getting forward which was harsh.

Hobbs - 6 - 1 slip up nearly cost us but also got a couple of decent blocks in

Brown - 7 - Needs to work on giving it to the midfield rather than just getting rid but was very solid & won everything.

Berner - 5 - Sluggish and off the pace I thought, unlucky with a first half drive though.

Oakley - 6 - Didn't take it by the scruff and one or two dead balls weren't his usual standard.

Wellens - 7 - Seemed in control, very good in possession.

Dyer - 6 - Energetic but wasn't given enough time on the ball by Vallolololodid.

King - 5 - Looked as sluggish as Berner and didn't get on the ball enough.

N'Guessan - 6 - Out of position but his pace will be more of a threat when he's out wide.

Howard - 8 - Star man. Won everything in the air and was harshly treated by the ref. Jumping for the ball is an offence it seems this season.

SUBS

Burns - 6 - Showed some neat touches, definitely one for the future.

O'Neil - 7 - Very solid, seems to have come on leaps & bounds.

Gradel - 7 - Should have scored with a header, crossing was much better.

Fryatt - 6 - Obviously behind in terms of fitness but took the goal very well.

Adams - 6 - Lacks a burst of pace but didn't let anyone down.
