Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 You're also perfectly entitled to turn up at the ground in a dress but I think people would still take issue. It's not whether you can, because clearly, you can, people are talking about whether you should, and you seem to be fleeing rather than admitting having comprehensively lost the argument. If you're that worried about having to pay your money how about doing everyone a favour, saving it and not bothering? I haven't lost any such argument, why did thousands of people on saturday boo ? Do you care to debate all of them on that ? I've made a point and i'm not gonna back down because a few idiots have said its wrong. Why don't you fook off to the rugby ? No one boo's in that sport.

I'd be surprised if it was more than a couple of hundred and they faded fast as soon as they realised they were in the minority. I'd happily boo at the rugby, because as has been so clearly pointed out, there's a huge amount of difference between a customer and a supporter, and I don't give two shits about the Tigers.

There were 23000 Leicester fans there on Saturday, if thousands had booed then it would have been picked up by the media and everyone who attended would have heard it. It's simply not true. 250 at most. If you want to give your team a 'kick up the arse' then chant louder, make any noise other than booing. It's the worst thing you can do, and I'm sure any footballer would back me up on that.

Because they came to their 1 game a season, didn't like what they saw, and hopefully realised they should fook off and not come back.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Tracking back, defending from the front, fighting, challenging, unsettling defenders - it shouldn't amaze me that a sizable portion of our "support" don't see it, but it does. Quite right too. It's no coincidence that our weakest performance of last season, Peterborough away, came when Howard wasn't playing. He is the perfect foil to Fryatt or any other strike partner simply because of his workrate. Anybody who can't see that and boos him for not scoring every week needs a reality check.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 People have gotta remember though, its not league 1 anymore. We're coming up against good sides and the team can't play liek they did last season. They need to have a kick up the arse now and again.

No, what they need is constructive criticism when things aren't going well on the pitch. I'm pretty sure that Pearson gave them just that. He would have bollocked them, but it wouldn't have been abuse for the sake of abuse as they were getting from some in the stands. It will have been aimed at inspiring them to improve their gameplan. That's the only way the performance is going to improve. If you really think the players only came out and performed because they were booed off by a small section of the crowd you're delusional.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 That's Nigel Pearson's job. The supporters' job is to support the team. But first half wasn't good enough, the fans voice it wasn't. Pearson made the changes we won. We'll all happy.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 But first half wasn't good enough, the fans voice it wasn't. Pearson made the changes we won. We'll all happy. So what you're insinuating is that Pearson only realised that changes needed to be made because some fans booed?
C-man Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 But what I'm trying to say is that the team and especially NP don't need reminding of that. They were 1-0 down, of course they had to improve. You cannot seriously believe that a few hundred bearly audible boos inspired the terrific turnaround?

Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 I beleive the booing could off led to the changes yes.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 On that logic you might as well have booed before kick-off. Let's go the whole hog and replace the PHG with a loop of a booing crowd and replaced Chelsea Dagger with a tape of people muttering 'About fooking time and all.'

john_lcfc Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Do you watch much test cricket and have a dis-taste for Ricky Ponting by any chance?
Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Do you watch much test cricket and have a dis-taste for Ricky Ponting by any chance? No i like Ponting, got passion unlike england.
C-man Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Are you sitting at home thinking 'this'll wind 'em up....' as you type?

Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Are you sitting at home thinking 'this'll wind 'em up....' as you type? Yes you got me
Flynny Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Are you sitting at home thinking There's your first mistake.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 So you're saying you have never booed Leicester of the field ? Anyone says no and their lying.
maddog Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Are you sitting at home thinking 'this'll wind 'em up....' as you type? Yes
C-man Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 I can honestly say I have never booed a City team or even a current City player. I was just brought up to support my team that way. I can think of at least 20 other posters on here that would say the same thing.
