Guest Bilo Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Christ, if Scarborough is half as bad as Skeggy I'll be taking a one way walk into the North Sea Ignore Bilo, Scarborough is immense and nothing like Scraggy! I have feelings too y'know. Even if you are right.
Koke Posted 20 August 2009 Author Posted 20 August 2009 You didn't want my opinion yesterday! You would just tell me to take her to Scarborough - Couple of seasons ago I took her to Eastlands for her birthday. 2-0 down at half time and they won 3-2. Some women prefer a great day out like that rather than the usual run-of-the-mill birthday/romantic stuff. But seriously just to reiterate what I said earlier Istanbul is a quality city. Romantic, cultural, good weather, loads to see and a bit different to your usual European destination. Cheap as well. Istanbul is a good shout. Neither of us have ever been to Turkey, and it's a pretty cultural city as well with beautiful weather. Failing all that, I'll just pass her to Dr Singh and it's a guarantee that she will be pleased.
Thracian Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I'm taking my ladyfriend to Scarborough in September. It's the new thing Careful where you choose to stay.... http://www.scarborougheveningnews.co.uk/la...lood.3982671.jp
Bellend Sebastian Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Careful where you choose to stay.... http://www.scarborougheveningnews.co.uk/la...lood.3982671.jp I remember that vaguely. It may be no Lynmouth or Canvey Island but we all need a bit of excitement on our hols
Webbo Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I had 10 days camping in Scarborough (Cayton Bay) as a kid. What a shithole! Full of Geordies too.
CKB Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Girls love being taken notice off, appreicated, loved, respected...so just do that and all the other stuff is superficial in the end!
stez Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Girls love being taken notice off, appreicated, loved, respected...so just do that and all the other stuff is superficial in the end! that's not hard, when they're whining about every-fricking-thing
Katy Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I had 10 days camping in Scarborough (Cayton Bay) as a kid. What a shithole! Full of Geordies too. It's changed a fair bit since then. It is full of Geordies though.
Toby or not Toby Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Take her to whoever Leicester have around the time On a serious note is there something that she always hints or says she wants but would never ask for. (obviously within your price range) that would probably do the trick
C-man Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I already do the usual showering her with gifts, praise, and cheesy text-book adoration on a fairly regular basis, but on very special occasions [like our upcoming anniversary] I need to pull something extraordinary out of my bag. Candle light dinner doesn't mean so fucking much all of a sudden, cos I did that 3-4 weeks ago - my creativity is virtually non-existent. Mistake. In terms of Usain Bolt, you should always wait for the big occasions so you don't run out of world records to break. Seeing as you can't fix the past though, I'm sure she'd appreciate a day trip somewhere. You shouldn't have to spend masses.

CKB Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 that's not hard, when they're whining about every-fricking-thing That's when you do the "yup i agree" or the "would you like that new handbag, dress, top, etc, etc" It works!!
