Edmund Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 That's Burnley one step closer to Europe! I saw that yesterday, I can't believe they have a chance of going into Europe. It will be a travesty if Burnley reach Europe and Portsmouth don't qualify if they win the F.A cup.
CosbehFox Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 It will be a travesty if Burnley reach Europe and Portsmouth don't qualify if they win the F.A cup. Disagree myself. The rules were there at the start of the season. Burnley will have led by them and Portsmouth haven't.

Good point but it just seems harsh that winning a domestic cup wont be an automatic ticket into Europe because of finances/paperwork. Good luck to Burnley though, I can remember a few years back when we nearly qualified into Europe via the fairplay.

Fosse Boy Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Didn't feel like this deserved its own thread so.... Fulham last night became the 17th different English club to reach a European final. Can you name the other 16? I can get 14/16 I got 15.
Benji Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Amazing Roy Hodgson deserves some acolade for the season they've had, the club has been absolutely immense and I really hope they beat Athletico

Alexikokopops Posted 1 May 2010 Posted 1 May 2010 anyone that wants Athletic Madrid to win must have forgotten or are unaware of them being cheating bastards. Or doesn't really care anymore? I'm not going to hold a grudge against a team because their players of ten year ago were a bit dickish. Atletico are, if anything, my favourite Spanish team. I even have an Atletico shirt

When it's one of your few chances in Europe to be cheated out of it sticks, perhaps you weren't there but I remember it as clearly as I remember Claridge's goals.
