Darkzzz_ Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Well done to Fulham, quality display but I'm not surprised. Anybody who has watched Serie A will know how average Juve are this season, very inconsistent and they are not the Juventus of old. Hodgson is a brilliant football manager and he deserves a lot of praise not just at Fulham but for all his work in football. Pleased Valencia and Atletico kept the La Liga flag flying and I hope Valencia win the competition now.
Jordan Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Oh, Dempsey, get off it already; that was meant to be a cross.
Uncle Albert Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Great wins for Liverpool and Fulham last night, that might not be the Juve of old but take nothing away from Fulham, from the highlights they looked bloody good! I think Dempsey meant that goal aswell. Liverpool were always going to win last night but even I'm saying this.. 3-0 flattered Liverpool! Lucas was pretty impressive last night and nice to see Babel getting another start, 3 in a row. Just hope Liverpool and Fulham avoid each other.
purpleronnie Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Not a bad draw. Fulham v Wolfsburg Hamburg v Standard Liege Valencia v Atletico Madrid Benfica v Liverpool
maddog Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Well done Fulham. If our great improvement continues we should be looking to Fulham and follow their example.
StanSP Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 Benfica v Liverpool Fulham v Wolfsburg Hamburg v Standard Liege Valencia v Atletico Madrid Really looking forward to Valencia vs At. Madrid. Looking for Villa and Aguero to shine. Can't see Liverpool getting a win and don't think they'll get an away goal.
leicesterfox86 Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 I'd back Liverpool to score tonight and then go through quite comfortably. The line-up they have been playing recentley (details here) really brings out the best in them I would say. If only Rafa had been playing it all season - everything could be so different!
FoxyPV Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 Liverpool are 1 up but a man down as Babel has just been sent off after some guy massacred Torres.
MC Prussian Posted 1 April 2010 Author Posted 1 April 2010 Liverpool are 1 up but a man down as Babel has just been sent off after some guy massacred Torres. Not a massacre, really - Luisao simply tried to trim them Torres legs a bit. In hindsight, both Babel and Luisao should've been sent off. Why the Benfica player is still playing, only the referee willl ever now.
Joe. Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 Babel's red card was ridiculous, very silly. Why he even got involved in the first place is anybody's guess. The referee does seem very card happy tonight though, Insua's on the stroke of half-time was very harsh indeed. Benfica look as though they should score eventually, but their strikers need to start taking some of these chances. Torres is going to find himself pretty isolated for most of the second half and I can't see Liverpool getting another tonight.
FoxyPV Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 Has anyone done a drug test on Bobby Zamora this season? He has to be taking something because where did this form come from? Benfica just got a penalty and scored.
Fox You Forest Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 Fulham doing very well again as for Liverpool, bless.
Joe. Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 Disappointed for Fulham that they conceded the late away goal but they're obviously going to be pretty pleased with that. As for Liverpool, it doesn't surprise me at all that they lost in the end. If I were Benitez I'd be absolutely fuming with Babel, it could have been a lot worse in hindsight. Not so much on the balance of play, Benfica deserved their win without hammering Liverpool, but it could have been worse retrospectively. Torres misses a golden opportunity at 1-1, then two minutes later Benfica get their second. It's a cruel game.
leicesterfox86 Posted 8 April 2010 Posted 8 April 2010 That late away goal could cost them if we are being honest. This blog mentions the players they have missing as well, so they are up against it. When haven't they been though I suppose! Don't rule them out, but it would be a great effort to get the job done.

Liverpools game is 50/50, who knows what liverpool could be like on their day. You could bet on any score for that one.
Edmund Posted 8 April 2010 Posted 8 April 2010 I'm still undecided which match to watch. I will most probably end up going for the Liverpool game as they have to score rather than protect their lead.
Joe. Posted 8 April 2010 Posted 8 April 2010 Really looking forward to tonight actually, I'm going for Fulham personally. I'd love for them to nick it somewhere along the line or at least hold out for the draw, but I can't help but feel as though the late away goal at Craven Cottage will end up costing them dearly tonight.
