Now all of a sudden those great buys are getting slagged off, and N.P. is not the best thing since sliced bread. Very predictable, and some of the worst comments come from those who didn't like pre -season criticism. (Two faced morons.)

We now find ourselves getting a sharp reality check. We were never going to get promotion. I still reckon about a 17th place finish. Don't see us giong down again though, I hope.

I've tended to discount him for now, yes. Partly because Pearson seems to have given him no more than a bit part.

My first impressions are that he seems to be all frantic energy and little outcome, perhaps because he doesn't get his head up enough to see the pictures.

But I'm more than happy to be proved wrong and am certainly interested in why you think he'd make a wide player.

An awful long way to go but that's about as accomplished a finish I've ever seen by a Leicester player and could kickstart his loan spell here properly.

I couldn't have more delighted for him. By anyone's standards that was a quality finish. It remains to be seen now if he can maintain the sort of energy levels and impact he made in a short cameo if he's asked to play for longer spells.

He's so young that perhaps the confidence of scoring such a splendid and important goal will lift him sky high and we'll only see more of the same. I hope so.

What pleased me nearly as much was to see both he and Campbell getting deep into the box - and I bet Howard was pleased to see it too.

Apart from Fryatt no-one else has done it until Pearson reintroduced Dyer and he started re-building his confidence and getting in their a bit. Gallagher hovers around the fringe and even the central midfielders Oakley, Wellens and King seem to have enough to cope with without getting into the box.

But, it's the only way to score consistently so I'm much encouraged.
