Sir Fynwy Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 I thought it was fairly obvious not to reply if you didn't own a dog. I thought it was totally stupid to post a questionnaire on a forum, the results will never be useful as there is no control.
AoWW Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 I thought it was fairly obvious not to reply if you didn't own a dog. To be honest I find it a bit odd that you're posting a questionnaire about dogs on a completely unrelated forum, especially with no explanation of why you want the information or how it's going to be used. Just seems a little impolite to expect people to bother answering it without a little more clarification on your part.

Doyou have control over any questionnaire - on a forum or not?? You hand them out. Once you hand it, you have no control. Up to the person answering if they want to take it seriously and give honest answers or not.

Of course you can have control over a questionnaire, you can target specific people/groups after researching them you don't have to 'hand them out' to anyone and everyone, ffs some people have jobs based around gathering data scientifically. Posting a bunch of questions about a topic on an unrelated site with no explanation is just stupid as it won't generate any useful data. I suggest reading up on marketing if you want to know more.
