purpleronnie Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 I love american college sports, in many ways its better than the pro leagues, the fans are so involved, and the players like that young man can become heroes. Great story.
Babylon Posted 14 October 2009 Author Posted 14 October 2009 Reminds me of the film 'Rudy'... this will definitely be made into a film at some point.
Asha Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Wow. It is totally inspiring. Can't imagine how amazing it would have been to be that successful when no-one expected it and everyone going crazy for you.
lou Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Reminded me of this fellow....http://www.stephenwiltshire.co.uk/index.aspx Severely autistic and mute for most of his childhood his artwork is now world reknown and he draws the most amazing detailed stuff from memory alone! Totally blew my mind when I saw the programmes about him. It shows that a person may be lacking in some of the things we all take for granted but seems to compensate in totally different ways. Very humbling stories both of them
maddog Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 He's in the team next week after that performance
AmericanScott Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Wow! I was nearly in tears after that. Very uplifting. I hope an NBA side snaps him up.
maddog Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Wow! I was nearly in tears after that. Very uplifting. I hope an NBA side snaps him up. I don't think it affected me that much
AmericanScott Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 I don't think it affected me that much Did you have a few beers prior to watching that amazing video clip?
maddog Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 Did you have a few beers prior to watching that amazing video clip? No. I just thought it was amazing that he got so many balls in the net. I'm not really a fan of basketball, actually i think it's crap and the rules are awful, thats probably why it didn';t Still great shoting
Babylon Posted 15 October 2009 Author Posted 15 October 2009 I don't think it affected me that much I'm not ashamed to say I had a lump in my throat.
