Griffins appearance on Question time in doubt

I wouldn't allow it either.

Take this into account. Your queuing up for the movies with your girlfriend, and 2 blokes are snogging. How do you react? Because I tell you what I would be fooking pissed off. I do not hate gays, but I don't want it shoved in my face, like many others.

lol

Oh come on, what are the odds of them queuing infront of me? I wouldn't complain :D

But seriously, I wouldn't allow it. As someone replied to me above saying that they dislike the opposite sex having a moment in public, but I don't have to feel sick around it.

on a serious note

gay people kissing be it male or female doesnt bother me in the slightest

and i think it would be wrong to tell them they couldnt do it but straight people could

Come on, I don't like seeing blokes kissing as much as the next chap don't but you can't honestly say it's alright for women to kiss in public but unacceptable for men to do it?! It's just as repulsive walking past a man and woman with their tongues down each others throat in public if I'm honest. I think people should save all that stuff for when they get home, not start getting all horny while you're trying to get your shopping done.

As for the person who said Jack Straw came out worse, I agree. Nick Griffin is already seen as a complete arse but Jack Straw on the other hand dodged questions, tried to pin the blame on the BNP or anything else and wouldn't accept his party is to be quite honest, a shambles.

Nick Griffin had some good points but people shot him down as soon as he opened his mouth. The guy is a complete cunt, I'm not denying that but some of the stuff he said did make some sense, ecspecially regarding immigration.

People passionately kissing in public is repulsive full stop. Keep your relationships to yourselves, don't thrust it on anyone.

It's not just Homosexuals that the rules Griffin states should apply to.

I agree with that. I'm all for giving as much love as you can to that special person, just keep it one on one. Or for all you swingers out there, just keep it indoors or in private :D

The odd exception could be made for hot lezzers to show public affection.

Nick Griffin had no points, backed up by no facts.

All in all, EPIC fail

When he was on about immigration, when he was on about gays kissing in public and when he was on about the situation in Afghanistan/Iraq/Iran and the fact Britain should be a mainly British Christian country.

That one always has me in stitches.

Adding onto my post.. It's a shame he lets himself down by supporting the Holocaust and laughing about the KKK etc.

I will never vote for the BNP, ever and don't agree what they stand for but it was a witchunt tonight against Nick Griffin and I don't think it was as bad as some expected, I'd be much more worried if I was Jack Straw.

Correct-a-mundo.

The problem is obviously that the BNP are just crazy to be perfectly honest. Alot of people watching tonight would think that Griffin is an idiot, but he's not. He is quite an intelligent block but he's a maniac. The black woman (forgot her name) who was on the panel was annoying, she contributed nothing really and was a waste of time.

He completely denied the Holocaust ever happened.

Yeah she irritated me aswell, her referring to the Ice Age was completely pointless. She set out from the start to make Nick Griffin look an idiot and was not open to any sort of debate.

Griffin deserves no more than a witch hunt. The problem was the execution of it all. If they'd have stocked the room up with more intelligent people asking genuine political questions and making him completely fall on his arse, it would've shown him up to an enormous degree. But instead it pretty much took the form of The Jeremy Kyle Show et al which didn't really take advantage of the situation.

Yeah it was a Jeremy Kyle-esque set up which didn't help at all.

Twats in the crows shouting RUBBISH everytime someone spoke was ridiculous.

The audience was summed up by an idiot saying, "A question to Dick, I mean Nick Griffin"

Racist! Go join the BNP!

But yes, it was stupid really, the show wasn't long enough as it was because inevitably it came down to what the BNP was all about and this was a rare publicly broadcasted event and so wasting precious time on non-political insight seemed ludicrous. She kept going off on complete tangents and just wanted to talk about all she knew from her bloody time at the museum.

She, like most of the audience, were never going to give him a chance and in doing so they really do stab themselves in the back. Let him lose votes on his own accord. After all, we're trying to protect democracy from facism, at least abide by basic democracy and let him speak.

Well, it's happened, it was no big deal, there is no reason whatsoever that the BNP should not play its part in political debate sad though they came across. Good too that the panel gave almost overwhelming affirmation to my oft-voiced view that freedom of speech and expression is and should remain a vital right in this country and should not be stifled because it is abhorent, disrespectful or contrary to political correctness.

Another thing that came across was that there is a great need for a British National Party that really represents the views of native English people and welfare, traditions and culture of this land because while all of the parties purport to listen, to understand and to be willing to do things like curb the rate of change, they are all talking tosh and will do nothing of the sort.

Furthermore it was clear that when and if the BNP or any English nationalist party evolves properly from the mess they currently portray, they badly need an orator with some consistent principles, good reasons for them and the ability to deliver the message honestly, logically, clearly and for the greater good of the people who live here, wherever they might have come from originally.

Nick Griffin came across as an arch-bullshitter with absolutely no logic and no sincerity. I would accept some nerves given his situation but he couldn't have inspired his own brother on tonight's performance. I expected him to field nothing but loaded guns yet the questioning was very fair given the degree of antagonism towards the guy.

And yet he gave the impression of having done no homework and having very little personal grasp of what he was trying to be and trying to achieve.

The truth is that - their ridiculous racist repatriation ideas apart - a right-thinking British National Party should be booming and representative of the Holy Grail to so many British natives (of all colours) who have lost their jobs and found much of the little available alternative work taken by politically favoured or lower-cost immigrants.

But it's not and with people like Nick Griffin it never will.

What a British National Party should be doing is uniting all the various ethnic people who care about this country and its way of life into shaping a future which looks after the things about Britain that are worth caring about.

Things like the availablility and variety of available work, top quality and wide-ranging education, a healthy and constructively caring community, the setting of standards which ensure that as many people as possible get opportunity, incentives and the chance able to develop worthwhile lives in a free and fair environment where rewards are there for any who puts in the effort.

Did Nick Griffin do that. No. It was all he could do to bolt a coherent sentence together. The man was a dinosaur living in a world of his own when major opportunity was there in front of him.

Griffin was entitled to say the party would be and was evolving. Lord knows the other parties have evolved and changed tack enough and what a pitiful lot they seemed to be apart from Sajeeda Waasi (Conservative I believe) who was at least eloquent and sounded as if she believed in something.

Straw was what you'd expect of a bloke who would claim political points on the back of the Second World War but whose father left others to do the fighting. He was pathetic beyond credence and exposed as a talking with a forked tongue at so many turns I cannot be bothered to list them.

I'm glad he got the air time. It would have been a huge victory for the BNP had he not.

He was a joke.

Immigration is an issue that needs to be addressed and monitored in this country.

Governments have failed to do this.

Attempting to link, however, BNP policies with positive change was laughed off the floor and rightly so.

This may not change the mind of the million people who voted BNP due to feeling isolated and polarised by a government who does not represent their voice.

This may serve as a wake up call to government to address the issues voiced by these million people, that cause them to vote for a racist political party out of an appearance of lack of options and representation.

I hope Mr. Griffin gets the opportunity to be further ridiculed in public at every opportunity.

This way he can't claim that he is being censored or treated unfairly, nor is he able then to create his own glossy PR posing questions and solutions that seemingly represent those people most polarised from our society.

I hate to say it but I felt sorry for Nick Griffin tonight... but only because I could see him trembling out of nervousness and I hate to see people like that and in that state whatever their beliefs or how ever much I dislike them.

As for what he had to say, well he was made a fool of by the rest of the panel and audience and rightly so. The only thing which was brought up by him and the rest of the panel which I agreed with him on is that immigration is a problem. I certainly don't agree with how he thinks it would be best to rid the country of all non Brits and how he would look to rid the country of non whites over time... but the idea that too many people are coming into the country and that we need to have a quota on the amount of people coming in is a good idea... though that was more a conservative idea than a BNP one.

The fact that he couldn't say out right that he accepts the Holocaust and that he blatantly couldn't answer loads of other racist questions about what is claimed to have said is just awful and truly exposed him and his party for what they are.

I also just wanted to add that I too can't stand religion though... I hate how people are divided over it, how people fight over it, how legislations have to be made around it and how it generally effects everyday life. I respect that people have their religions and they are fully entitled to their views and opinions, but I can't stand the effects that it has on people and how there are radicals from ALL religions that are determined to go around fighting all other religions and are totally blinkered on any other views and beliefs. I know what I'm about to say might be seen as very controversial, but I do believe that a world without religion would probably be a better and safer place... though that said, perhaps what I mean is that a world without radicals would be a better place... but if we were to take religion completely out of the equation, I would imagine that we wouldn't have as many problems as we do today in the world.

Only cause he was shaking so much... I just can't stand to see people like that. Even if he is a racist pig, it's just something I don't like seeing people have to go through.
