Guest ttfn Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 It felt like she as reciting from a book most of the time to me, it never really felt like those were her actual thoughts. Couldn't agree more. She was unnecessarily pompous. She was the 'most accomplished politician' on there only to the extent that she gave the most bullshitting answers
lou Posted 23 October 2009 Author Posted 23 October 2009 How the hell did that man get to Cambridge? Thought he came across as intellectually very weak, which was a relief but somewhat a surprise after Id been told of his education. I was worried that he would manipulate voters and come out of this with some credit but I dont think he has. I didnt feel sorry for him in the least, so what if he was shaking? Good - I hope he got to feel some of the discomfort that his party causes to thousands of innocent people by their views. I actually laughed out loud when he defended the leader of the KKK, David Duke as non-violent. This man is a total joke. Also when the Lesbian lady said the feeling of repulsion was mutual Wasnt the best QT Ive ever seen and the poor showing by Jack Straw is hardly a shock! Quite annoying that Ive had to trawl through pages of posts about Religion which is wildly off topic. Im sure there must be a Religion thread somewhere you can have that debate in without hi-jacking this one?
TrickyTrev Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Her record on homophobia has been poor in the past, and the answer she gave on civil partnerships was pretty weak. More disappointing still, she wasn't pressed on it. I like the fact that she was as realistic as she could be about immigration, it has been a mess under Labour and the Tories need to recitfy that if and when they are elected. The chances of a politician being as honest as you have been on immigration are remote however, the public doesn't want to hear that because of the tripe fed into their heads by the media every day. I admired her showing last night, but it was far from the best shown on Question Time. In my opinion, Baroness Warsi was the best of a bad bunch. How she would fare on a stronger panel remains to be seen but I admired what she had to say last night. If the political elite had any integrity they would have got together and all agreed to go on last nights show and put a cross party argument in favor of continued mass immigration. The BNP are only gaining ground because politicians are unwilling to talk about immigration with any degree of sincerity and last night was the opportunity to put that right. Instead both of the main political parties decided to continue the smokes and mirrors game of stating a policy that sounds like it is 'tough on immigration,' whatever that means, but in reality is aimed at continuing to use immigration to pay for the baby boomers pensions and fill in gaps in the labour market. It's incredibly stupid because people are going to notice that immigration isn't slowing down but I guess Baroness Warsi got what her leaders wanted, she seems to have created the illusion that the Tories are more honest on immigration. From where I was sitting there was little to admire in either Jack Straw or Baroness Warsi last night.
davieG Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 I've gotta answer this about Heaven and Hell cos a few people have mentioned it. Alot of folk seem to have the wrong impression of what Heaven is supposed to be. It will be (if it exists like I believe) another planet just like this one (or seven other planets as there are seven Heavens, the kindest and greatest of mankind will be in the most beautiful of the lot). We have all been born into a body on this planet so who's to say that after we die we won't be born into another body (with a few modifications) somewhere else? It is a miracle that we are all here now, it is no more unlikely that we will be somewhere else at another time. Heaven will be similar to Earth with sky, water, trees, mountains etc. The difference with that planet though is that there will be no hatred whatsoever. It will be banished. As for Hell, this will be a planet too most likely, except it will not be tolerable and will be hard to bear for every person there. Another point I saw mentioned about Hell is that people seem to believe that the Devil will be running it! This is not true. The Devil will be a companion of all there and will have the same hardships as the rest. But for now he is running around this Earth with his unseen minions trying to drag as many of us there with him. So all of you rapists and un-necessarily vicious people out there, be warned, you will not get away with it! Be a lover, not a fighter alse you will throw away your soul for eternity. Can you stop with the religious posts, I don't care if you feel you need to reply because if you post someone will reply to you and it will continue, rise above it and control yourself if you can't manage that go and pray to your God for some will power to enable you to do so.. No more religious post please!

NOTTTTTTTT..... REEEEEEEEPLY...... AAAAAARRRRRRRGH I'll do it. Cos' that made me That really was the biggest load of tripe ever. (Sorry, shouldn't laugh at religion, but oh well, hi ho, hi ho, it's off to hell i go) As for last night, Griffin came across (to me) as an arse, though at times he showed why his party is getting support. there he was, talking about immigration, while the other three parties sat squabbling with each other over whose policy was right. But for me he was exposed, and I hope other people take on what he said and think again about voting for him, the man is a clown. If you've not read it, have a butchers at THIS It exposes the man for what he truly is, and probably should be a compulsory read for everyone thinking about voting BNP.
BoneDog Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Can we cease with the religious arguments unless it's directly relevant to this topic, there's been plenty of topics on that, if you feel you must continue go and revisit one of them. If I must ! I don't know why we should though, this is a Christian country

BoneDog Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Had he seen the genetic codes of everything I think he'd be pretty sure.Things have moved on somewhat in the last 400 years. It would of increased his faith. And top scientists today still believe, there's been no change.

Part of me was surprised to see that in the Daily Mail, what with them being facists and all. But then you get to the comments section - dear me.

OK! I was just finishing reading above posts and responded to things said. Not hoping for replies at all.
Asha Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 I'd love to know what our resident racist BNP voter Craig Adams thought of yesterday's program.
BoneDog Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 STOP TALKING ABOUT FUCKING RELIGION BOLLOCKS I have stopped, even though there were two more posts I need to reply to.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Part of me was surprised to see that in the Daily Mail, what with them being facists and all. But then you get to the comments section - dear me. Yus the comments section kind of needs to be ignored, but the article is so important in exposing him. Oh and by the way, if Nick Griffin is 'misquoted' so often, which is tantamount to libel and defamation, why doesn't he sue. If it's all a dirty lie then he's bound to win, isn't he?
Flynny Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Little inconsiderate, no? Not really. I was killing myself laughing too, if it helps.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Griffin to complain to BBC over 'lynch mob' Then why didn't he walk out when he was being grilled, stating this? Or has he now watched it back, seen the backlash, and seen that people realise what an utter clown ****bag he really is, and wants to cry foul play because it didn't work out the way he had intended it to? I wonder
Asha Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Not really. I was killing myself laughing too, if it helps. Ok.

Shrenchel Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 The Mail and Express can nosh on my cock. For years they've produced papers full of the kind of xenophobic half-truths, exaggeration and spin that turn people towards the BNP because they know sensationalism sells. Then they get a wee bit uncomfortable when they realise half their readership now votes for the cvnts so try to turn back the clock by throwing a bit of mud at them. It aint gunna work. The Express's website isn't taking comments on it's front page piece today because they most of their readers would tell them to fvck off.

Your point is proven quite nicely by the reader comments under that Mail article Ian C posted.
